To think this man at the cinema was plain nasty?

Dh and I watched a film at the cinema on Saturday night.

There was a young man a few rows back from us with very vocal Tourette's. Obviously it was distracting to most people around him, but once the film started I didn't find it an issue. However, one man decided to tell him to shut up and "isn't there a special showing you could go to?"

Quite a few people appeared to be in agreement with him. I now wish I said something.

No one directly called you an asshat.

But if the cap fits... Hmm

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 11/09/2013 16:58

anyway, asshat hunting here is no challenge, its like Bill Bryson said about hunting moose. They just wander up and stand in front of you and you can beat them to death with a rolled up newspaper.

The attitudes on thos thread, from the disablist posters, are getting worse as it goes on.

As a disabled person I hate living in a world with people like you. Everytime I go out I encounter people like you. You all disgust me.
I am hiding this thread now.

Pagwatch · 11/09/2013 16:59

If it helps Stokey, I won't mind if you leave the cinema for any reason at all.

Well the OP said once the film started she didn't find the man with Tourettes distracting so I don't believe it could have been that loud.

I hate when people with big asshats on sit in front of me at the cinema..you just can't see

YouTheCat · 11/09/2013 17:02

Fanjo, this is why I always sit at the front. Grin

strokey · 11/09/2013 17:03

if Beer isn't discriminating by avoiding the cinema because of any noise, why am I discriminating by LEAVING the cinema because of any noise?

If it's any noise, then you're you're not.

Just as I thought!

Er. We were talking about the scenario in the op - a young man making noise that the op was easily able to ignore but asshat man shouted about.

YouTheCat · 11/09/2013 17:06

Yes, in my great big hat. Grin

Confused That's nice. But I am talking about the op so I'll stick with that if that's ok.
2ndryschoolmum2010 · 11/09/2013 17:12

Completely different scenario then, which i have already had my say on

Ok.
It's alright then if I talk about what I want to?
I know you had your say but I don't agree so I am happy just still talking about the op

Pagwatch · 11/09/2013 17:18

Who are 'these people'?

I am just posting on a thread. Who is an extremist?

YouTheCat · 11/09/2013 17:19

I can't see what is so extreme about wanting to treat all people with respect.

SpecialAgentCuntSnake · 11/09/2013 17:21

'These people?' ShockAngry

You are a disabilist. Your own language slips you up.

Pagwatch · 11/09/2013 17:21

That is pretty paranoid and batty and slf aggrandising all at once.

A bunch of people simultaneously disagree with you so they must be a group of some sort, they must be extreme.

Grin
usualsuspect · 11/09/2013 17:22

Extremists?

Hahahaha.
