To wonder if anyone else thinks Mr Gove is a disgrace

For ranting at and calling all those in the party who voted against Syria a disgrace. Go Justine (well she didn't know the vote was on ROFL), Hammond, Clarke and many others (BOWS).

Dons flak jacket but doesn't give a hoot.

He is a disgrace for that and for lots of other reasons too. YANBU.

Inclusionist · 31/08/2013 20:33

Needs to be pilloried. I will drive his head onto the pike myself.

piebald · 31/08/2013 20:35

Hes should have been chased out years ago-why are we paying for people like him

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/08/2013 20:37

Yanbu but he was a disgrace long before this rant.

noblegiraffe · 31/08/2013 20:42

Probably thinks they're a disgrace for going against a three line whip.

They're going to have to pay for that.

YANBU and his wife with her stupid twitter comments. But generally he is awful, not just in relation to this

GrumpyKat · 31/08/2013 20:48

Mr.Gove brings me out in hives, the weasly faced little jumped up freak show. He is the first person on my rocket into the sun.

Spikeytree · 31/08/2013 20:48

I know a whole staff of people who think he's a disgrace, but that is more with regards to his attempts to destroy state education and the life chances of young people.

With regards to voting against the party whip, that is damaging to the party so he has a right to be annoyed but in all honesty the Conservatives knew they didn't have the support of enough of their own MPs/Lib Dems to get it through so didn't really even try to make the case for intervention. Cameron would rather accuse Miliband of playing politics (what, a politician? Never!) than actually engage with the issue at a deeper level.

Morgause · 31/08/2013 20:49

He's an annoying little prick. YANBU

RainbowCake · 31/08/2013 20:49

He is a disgrace for what he has done to education never mind anything else. Never have I hated a politician so much.

My sentiments exactly!

headlesslambrini · 31/08/2013 20:52

He is an idiot who thinks he knows better than anyone else irrespective of how much research or evidence they may have.

Cut from the same cloth as George Osbourne IMO

littlemisswise · 31/08/2013 20:53

He is a disgrace for what he has done, and continuing to do, to the education system. I wish that he would get given the sack but I can't see it somehow.

Spikeytree · 31/08/2013 20:55

He's angling for the leadership and I've heard tell he has a fair bit of support amongst the 'anyone but Boris' contingent.

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 31/08/2013 20:57

The idea of Gove as PM is terrifying.

KatyPutTheCuttleOn · 31/08/2013 20:58

GrumpyKat, I couldn't have put it better myself.
I've yet to meet anybody who agrees with what he is doing.

moondog · 31/08/2013 20:59

I love him.
Best thing that has happened in British education in decades.

KatyPutTheCuttleOn · 31/08/2013 21:03

moondog why? really, why?

(resisting the temptation to be sceptical)

bsc · 31/08/2013 21:04

Yes moondog. Tell me, are your DC actually subjected to the English education system under Gove? Hmm

mummytime · 31/08/2013 21:08

I said at a BBQ the other day that the only reason I wish I lived a few miles from where I do is so I could vote against him in the next election.

Crumbledwalnuts · 31/08/2013 21:13

I love you. Marvellous man. Fight you for him Moondog.

SuburbanRhonda · 31/08/2013 21:13

I hate him, too. But this always cheers me up:

The thought of him as PM is horrifying.

The fact he is in charge of education when he knows nothing about it and does not care enough to learn about it is bloody awful enough.

BoulevardOfBrokenSleep · 31/08/2013 21:18

littlemisswise "He is an idiot who thinks he knows better than anyone else irrespective of how much research or evidence they may have."

^ This.

I can understand/forgive many flaws in a politician, but one thing that deeply annoys me is the 'all the evidence points to A, but I've chosen B, so fuck you' camp. Not restricted to any particular political stripe; Tony Blair was a prime example.
