No im fighting with access at tbe moment. Excel can do its pivoting later that will be fun. But at the mkment theyre botb loxcked in a giant battle for resources and so both frozen kn time and space. I may need to admit defeat

Aww I feel your pain. Normally I luffs Excel, but sometimes when there is too much data and too many dimensions and too much sums Mr Excel is not my friend anymore and it makes me .

Convert all time fields to text and manipulate as necessary.
Copy and 'paste as values' all linked/calculated values.
Make it all work and the put the links/formulae back. Leave the timings as text though, they mess everything up :(
