To despise Kerry Katona so much??

I don't normally have much of a view on celebs etc (although I actually quite admire Katie Price as she is obviously a very clever lady to make a business and so much money so I reckon the dum blonde thing is just a very very clever act!)

But.... I just read an article in a magazine (Drs surgery waiting room - yes yes I know these magazines print a lot of crap!) about Kerry Katona.

Apparently she is worried how she will cope now that she has been declared bankrupt for the second time.

Apparently (I'll stop saying that now as I'd have to add it to the beginning if every sentence) her out goings are 10k a month!!! That includes a nanny and employing her boyfriend as a driver!!

Now this is where I don't get it...... She was made bankrupt in 2009.... Why the hell is she allowed to spend so much money now?? I'm thinking of the poor companies that got ripped off when her debts got written off last time only for her to continue her lavish lifestyle!
Grrrrrrr rant over!

Her, Katie Price, Chatelle Houghton, Peter Andre...and the rest of their ilk are trash, pure and simple, who sell trash stories to trash magazines.

Miscarriage? Quick, flog it to Take a Break. Brother got a terminal illness? Definitely a few bucks there.

I despise all of them, however business savvy they may or may not be.

I read something about her that explained why she went bankrupt a second time and it was almost inevitable, something like so much % of her income went to her debts and she was simultaneously racking up a new tax bill that she couldn't save enough to pay...I'm sure her financial advisors would have helped her avoid it if she could.

It's not so much the celeb side of it..., its just the declaring bankruptcy then spending loads bit. I actually know a few people in RL that have done this. It's like bankruptcy is an easy option of getting rid of their debts without having to change their lavish lifestyles which they clearly can't afford.

But why employ your boyfriend as a driver? Surely they would be better off if he got a proper job?? Or just how much is she paying him? How much does she actually need driving around?

I wouldn't:
A) believe much you read in those mags
B) believe anything much that comes out of her mouth

She had/has some serious issues and never seems to be able to get on too of them because she seems to attract users. She annoys the hell out of me because she tips up on shitty adverts and magazines all the time but I also do feel sad for her, she definitely needs help.

Single Mum of 4 kids, first hubby cheated on her then slates her in the press. 2nd hubby just a gold digger. I have no idea what's gone on TBH, her life seems to be a huge mess.

Somehow she managed to get clean but I can only assume she isn't getting any guidance from anywhere re finances.

Not sympathetic exactly, just curious and sad for the children.

And to answer others questions...... No I don't believe everything I read (as I said!!) no I don't usually have any interest in celebrities (as I said!) I'm just bored waiting at the Dr's and thought I'd start a debate relating to something that was in front of me. No I don't feel guilty for having a view/discussion about this as in my opinion, if you flog every aspect of your life to the papers then you are open game! Smile

I don't understand how she can be going into the West End to be Marilyn Monroe - when on earth is she going to practice? Do 7+ shows a week?
As well as look after 4 kids & The Big Reunion is going on tour - there's a Xmas party show in London & a second series lined up

She's obviously going to let the show down Sad

I would have definitely read Closer MissT. Grin I used to love all those magazines like Heat, and Closer but I CBA with them now. I don't know most of the people in them any more.

I despise Kerry Katona, nothing she does is a shock. Her morals are disgusting, I couldn't care less what she does with the rest of her life but she's quick to make money from everyone and everything around her and that bugs me.

To be declared bankrupt for a second time happens, but I can't help thinking its her own fault when you think about her lifestyle. And not forgetting the drugs. I remember watching some documentary thing where she was appalling to her children, one of them said something like 'You have no idea of the problems I've got' whilst she was crying. I know all children get a bit emotional sometimes but it was heartbreaking. Plenty of women have suffered in abusive and unhealthy relationships, she uses it as a way of gaining celebrity status. She continues to spend and live a lavish lifestyle, when other women go without so that they can rebuild theirs and their children's lives. She just waits for the next magazine exclusive.

The last straw was the Cash Lady representation, she deserves to be bankrupt for that one...

MissTweed she does! She only has to work because no amount of magazine coverage could cover her debts and, let's be honest, she's flogged every single story that could possibly be of interest already. Page doesn't earn as much through magazines anymore because she's over done them, I don't think her 'working' is indicative of her morals.

I like her. She seems very personable. And, yes, she's been dealt a shit hand - I can't bring myself to blame her for that.
