To feel very chuffed with myself.(DV related)

I've talked before on here about my stbexh and the DV and we have been separated for about 3 years that entire time I have had protection orders and various other things in place to keep him away from me but have struggled to get long term orders so had to renew every year.

Well today I went to court by myself no representation and obtained a life time protection order with a power of arrest attached and had the order extended to cover all my children.

Sorry for the not so stealth boast but in RL I have nobody I can really tell as I work in DV services and have done for years so don't really want anybody (for that read anybody stupid enough to do so) to make a professional judgement anti my work because some people are still idiots who think if you have experienced it whilst working in the field then you can't be very good.

Its just such a relief.the judge even included in the order that the court bailiff will serve and I didn't even ask him to (that's not usual for them to do that).i can stop fretting about it I don't need to worry about having to go back to civil court as if he breaches the cps deal with it.

And best of all its like me sending a great big fuck you,your not all powerful and I will stand up to you to him.

Oh and he has to pay all my court costs

Oh and as you work in DV, If I needed help from you or your colleagues, I'd choose you, someone who's been there done that and would know exactly how I was feeling and what I needed (probably very afraid and needing your hand to hold and guide me)
