Some celebrity gossip person on Twitter this evening has been posting about how delightful her life is and how happy she is followed by retweeting posts from the young man cory (from glee) also other tweets about will 'nelson Mandela die before the royal baby is born'

I never tweet but for some reason them poor families going through such a gut wrenching time are really in my nind today and I really feel this person is a complete twat, so I tweeted her saying it's insensitive and maybe she should think about the families. ....too which I have received a load of abuse!

What is wrong with people? Does the human race no longer care for others?

OP posts:
YouTheCat · 15/07/2013 00:05

Who is this celebrity gossip person?

I don't do twitter tbh but I like to be up on who's a twat.

KobayashiMaru · 15/07/2013 00:05

One person acts like a twat on twitter and you ask "does the human race no longer care about others"?
Over-blown much? Talk about drama-llama. Hmm

breakingup · 15/07/2013 00:12

kob oh sod off... read the news. Then you will understand why I say that.

I don't think she is famous in anyway but she appeared in a feed one day.

I just feel all the nit picking, bullying, judging & sniping that happens every single day is so irrelevant when so many families are being destroyed at the moment . We all sit behind our pcs and smart phones without a clue

OP posts:
KobayashiMaru · 15/07/2013 00:13
Hmm

I have no idea what you are talking about, but you sound bloody miserable. Your world is not mine.

SugarandSpice126 · 15/07/2013 00:16

breakingup I know what you mean.

breakingup · 15/07/2013 00:18

I'm not miserable at all. You're obviously in a bubble if you have no idea of current events which should make you reflect

OP posts:
Sparklysilversequins · 15/07/2013 00:18

"Your world is not mine"

Why bother posting if that is your contribution?

KobayashiMaru · 15/07/2013 00:22

Whats wrong with that as a contribution? Op is WAY ott and miserable. Cheer the fuck up.
You seem to only pay attention to the bad current events. There are plenty of good ones too, and even for the bad ones there are plenty of people doing good.
Miserable sods.

Sparklysilversequins · 15/07/2013 00:24

But OP wants to talk about something that has upset HER on HER thread. She can post whatever she likes and if you've nothing constructive to say then why not buzz off?

KobayashiMaru · 15/07/2013 00:26

It's AIBU darling, the clue is in the name. AIBU? Yes. Did you think the topic was "everyone agree with me while I complain, no dissent allowed"? i think you might be lost.

DoJo · 15/07/2013 00:26

Unless the chances are fairly high that any of the families involved are actually reading this person's tweets, then I think you may be overreacting slightly - for those not personally involved, it's news, and whilst it may be sad news, it doesn't preclude people from talking about in in factual rather than emotional terms.

Sparklysilversequins · 15/07/2013 00:30

No I didn't think that but I do think you sound really obnoxious and needlessly unpleasant though Smile.

HarrietSchulenberg · 15/07/2013 00:32

This is exactly why I don't use Twitter. Vacuous comments from vacuous people. Sleb person not OP. Though the glib witterings of a very minor celeb are not really indicative of the condition of the entire human race.

WafflyVersatile · 15/07/2013 00:34

Different tweets are different thoughts. Without seeing them I can't say it's insensitive to acknowledge your own happiness and also mention other unhappy things.

KobayashiMaru · 15/07/2013 00:37

So do you dearie.

kreecherlivesupstairs · 15/07/2013 01:49

Confused dearie. Have I stumbled into a 1960's gay mens convention by mistake.

KobayashiMaru · 15/07/2013 01:52

Could be. I'd make a rather good 1960's gay man I think.
In truth I'm just really very drunk. But in the morning I'll be sober, while the hell -in-handbasket brigade here will still be miserable.

McGeeDiNozzo · 15/07/2013 06:46

"Read the news"? "No idea about current events"?

I'm fairly sure Kobayashi HAS read the news. Anyone with eyes knows what is going on with Mandela.

Maybe nobody cares about your celebutwat and their tweeting - maybe there's other stuff going on in the world that ACTUALLY MATTERS.

BalloonSlayer · 15/07/2013 06:59

Well say who it is then, OP. Grin

Then we can all put those posts that read "xxx, for instance, is a twat" and when they next google themselves [and they will!] that's what they'll get.

I agree with you - insensitive. But a part of me is thinking - well it's twitter . . . isn't everyone on there brainless and insensitive?

gordyslovesheep · 15/07/2013 07:03

is Heat Magazine the New Guardian? I don't count celeb gossip as news that I need to be informed about - but if she bothers you that much I am sure Twitter have some facility that means you can un follow her

hobnobsaremyfavourite · 15/07/2013 07:07

celeb goss counts as "news" these days dear gid we are going to hell in a handcart.

breakingup · 15/07/2013 07:20

Its not celebrity gossip.... its actual news about a man who died and a legend on his death bed.

Whilst I am aware of the good things happening in the world I posted about this because it bothered me, is that not what its all about here?

People are just offended for the sake of being offended.

Maybe noone cares what I have to say..mc

OP posts:
BartyFottom · 15/07/2013 07:36

It was insensitive, but the beauty of twitter is that you don't have to follow vacuous celebrity gossips. I never get this sort of drivel on my twitter feed.

KobayashiMaru · 15/07/2013 15:24

nobody is offended, they are annoyed! It's twitter for gods sake, using it as a barometer of the entire human race is bizarre.

pictish · 15/07/2013 15:28

I don't quite get what she/he did wrong?
