DH not only has about three remote controls to the tv, DVD etc but there is also an app on his phone for a remote control!!

Am I just out of touch so to speak???

Don't women ever change the channel, then? Confused

ecclesvet · 08/07/2013 19:02

"Am I being unreasonable that this app is 'man' orientated"?

I...urm... what?

Sheshelob · 08/07/2013 19:03

What is a "remote control"?

Am I saying it right? Re-mo-te cont-r-ol?

Rugbycomet · 08/07/2013 19:05

I'm not suggesting that women do not change channels, just that it appears to be a pre conceived idea that men are always seem to be in charge of the remote!

Man orientated? Why? Does it only recognise the touch of a penis?

Rugbycomet · 08/07/2013 19:06

Haha..binky. Love it!!!!

frogspoon · 08/07/2013 19:09

What is the app called?

Am I the only one who is tempted to download it and confuse everyone by making the TV randomly switch on/off or change channel whilst they have the remote?!

SummerRainIsADistantMemory · 08/07/2013 19:10

Last I checked I was a woman and I most definitely have to be in charge of the remote. DP can't fast forward right at all. In fact, even he prefers me to have control of the remote.

IneedAyoniNickname · 08/07/2013 19:13

We don't have a man in this house, maybe that's why the tv is always on the same channel Hmm

Habbibu · 08/07/2013 19:13

Has he got a ManPhone? ManApps preloaded?

DaddyPigsMistress · 08/07/2013 19:14

Do loses the remotes so he is banned from using them. He has to use the buttons on the telly.

He has also lost 7 phones in two years so the app wouldnt help him for long

Rugbycomet · 08/07/2013 19:16

It's a Samsung and he had to set it all up to coordinate sky, DVD and video!!!

NumTumDeDum · 08/07/2013 19:17

I have a remote app on my phone. I can also set the recorder. No penis here!

reggiebean · 08/07/2013 19:23

I don't understand...

I have a Sky app and xbox app on my phone...

I don't have a willy...

I don't need someone with a willy to help me use it...

How is a remote control app " man orientated" any one can down load it and put it on their phone Male or female. Any one who can afford a smart phone that is. There are still some of us who use dumb phones.

Rugbycomet · 08/07/2013 19:29

FYI I also have a brick as a phone....might start building a man wall!

OP posts:
reggiebean · 08/07/2013 19:30

Am just Hmm Confused at this OP...

Rugbycomet · 08/07/2013 19:32

This is meant to be alight hearted thread....ie. how many women do you know that would download and synchronise the tv etc??? I don't know any but then I don't watch tv Grin

OP posts:
reggiebean · 08/07/2013 19:36

Think you just phrased it a bit strangely then, OP. It's a much more reasonable question in your above post than in your original one.

Mckayz · 08/07/2013 19:36

My DH never touches the remote control. He has no idea how to set up a mobile phone, let alone being able to use his phone to change tv channels.

Not 'man' orientated at all. Just people orientated.

wannabeawallaby · 08/07/2013 19:39

You fucking wot?

So it's man orientated because your DP has it?

DoJo · 08/07/2013 19:39

YABU - the app is surely designed for someone who wants to use their phone to control the television.
