I mean I know the Easter Bunny lays choc eggs, so maybe rabbits are dairy too, but a cow laying eggs is just too far fetched!

I read on a thread here today about allergies that someone thought an allergy to dairy included eggs. Strange. It's obvious what dairy means (well I thought so)

allergic to dairy means you can't have cows milk and products.

I'm dairy intolerant. In restaurants when I tell the waiter/waitress to see if I can eat something, I am often told "it contains eggs". The temptation to ask whether they are cow eggs is sometimes too much.

It comes from the days when animal produce was dealt with on the farm.

The eggs went through the dairy, normally because they were dealt with by the farmers wife and she also creamed the milk, made the butter and cheese.
