To think all this Nigella stuff is distraction

She s beautiful, she s talented, she s intelligent, she s rich. If it wasn t for her tragedies her life would be perfect, and that makes us feel better about our own lives.
Furthermore, I suspect it isn t a coincidence the story was broken by the SUnday People, and the Sun has had front pagers on it since Monday. This distracts from Mr Murdoch's own marital difficulties. When one has made a mega fortune from intruding on other people s private lives, one doesn't t want the favour returned, now does one?
Let's see how long it is until Mumsnet pulls this thread.

Well. If there was an award for Best Piffle on a Thursday you'd be a strong contender.

Any more crap interesting theories?

gordyslovesheep · 20/06/2013 13:25

erm - are you always into crazy conspiracy theories?

YABU

pumpkinsweetie · 20/06/2013 13:25

Yabu

Northernlurker · 20/06/2013 13:26

Eh?

Oh right - the week before the Murdoch divorce was announced Murdoch arranged for Charles Saatchi to throttle his wife in public thus avoiding a few column inches on 'Old bloke divorces young wife'. Of course!

Hmm
imademarion · 20/06/2013 13:26

If it wasn t for her tragedies her life would be perfect

Have you been exposed to chemicals over the last hour or so?

What utter tosh.

ManAliveThisThingsFantastic · 20/06/2013 13:27

Hmm, I'm not sure I agree with you on the first points. I'm still in half a mind as to whether she would have become as famous as she has if Daddy hadn't been chancellor.

Madamecastafiore · 20/06/2013 13:28

You stupid , her life has been bloody far from perfect, sad childhood, lots of loss and grief in her life and you are belittling her being a victim of domestic violence.

MalcolmTuckersMum · 20/06/2013 13:28

OP has obviously been sniffing batteries. Or licking toads. Or something.

TheRealFellatio · 20/06/2013 13:28

Um..I think it's just a co-incidence.

Tee2072 · 20/06/2013 13:30

Wow. Your opinions are really stupid.

Thisisaeuphemism · 20/06/2013 13:31

Did he also arrange the NHS cover up story? Or messis tax evasion? Or Obama in Germany blah blah?

Amrapaali · 20/06/2013 13:32

Ignoring the OP, what scares me more is the public attitude.

Or more specifically people in the public eye, voicing their so-called opinion. Tracey Emin. Nick Clegg. If they have nothing useful to contribute, they should just keep their traps shut.

Flobbadobs · 20/06/2013 13:32

Is the David Ike forum staging an invasion?

Thisisaeuphemism · 20/06/2013 13:34

If it wasn't for her tragedies her life would be perfect ?

If it weren't for everything you wrote, your op would be sensible.

Bonsoir · 20/06/2013 13:35

Gosh, my life is a million times better than Nigellas. What an odd OP.

whataboutbob · 20/06/2013 13:36

Let me explain. I a, not anti Nigella, I don't know her, I m commenting on her public perception. I ll remind all of you that the initial thread on the Murdoch divorce was pulled by MN for legal reasons. What comes to the fore in newspapers is not a straightforward reflection of reality, it is filtered by newspaper editors and often to further the interests/ political beliefs etc of proprietors.
Interesting how strong the reaction to this thread has been though.

OP posts:
gordyslovesheep · 20/06/2013 13:38

OMG you mean news papers have actual political and personal agendas ...wow ...who knew Hmm

Tee2072 · 20/06/2013 13:38

The strong reaction to this thread is your apparent victim blaming and stupid opinions.

It's nice when stupid opinions are said out loud. Then I know which posters to ignore from that point on.

MadBusLady · 20/06/2013 13:39

Wow. Your opinions are really stupid.

I'm going to stop writing long reasoned responses to things and just keep that on my clipboard.

Amrapaali · 20/06/2013 13:39

What the hell are you on about OP? Angry

BrokenBanana · 20/06/2013 13:41

You are a very strange person OP Hmm

Cravey · 20/06/2013 13:41

The award for most idiotic post of today goes to the op of this. I have never heard such tosh in my life. That poor woman has been abused in full view of everyone. As well as having lost many of her close family. And you are wibbling on about stupid theories and how lovely her life would be. Horrid post. Truly horrid.

ChunkyChicken · 20/06/2013 13:44

It's not much of statement really though, is it "If it wasn t for her tragedies her life would be perfect"? Isn't that a truism?

If it wasn't for my problems, life would be easy.

If Nigella's hair wasn't brown, it'd be another colour.

If some people weren't stupid, they'd be clever.

If it wasn't up, it'd be down.

What exactly was your point?

ChunkyChicken · 20/06/2013 13:49

NB. Not dismissing Nigella or her tragedies or any of her terrible troubles at this time. Just the OP.

Buzzardbird · 20/06/2013 13:54

Eerrrmm, you really think that Nigella agreed to be throttled in public so that she could help take the attention off Murdoch?
What are you theories on UFO's?
