To wonder why my neighbour

was hanging over the fence taking photos of my garden and now be a little worried.

She complained to the HA last year that our sunflowers were too high and our flowers attracted bees. Dp has just found her hanging over fence with camera phone. He is unimpressed because her hanging over fence has caused dog to jump on border and snap a few of his plants. but i am more wondering what she was taking photos of and why?!

I don't know I just always click on these posts to see if it's about me. (this one isn't)

KittensoftPuppydog · 01/06/2013 21:24

Ask her?
It does sound weird.

squoosh · 01/06/2013 21:24

She complained that your flowers attracted bees??? You should tell the loon that that's the point of flowers!

Maybe the soil in your flowerbeds is too brown? Maybe the worms in your garden are too wriggly?

I'm afraid you're living beside a nutter. I bet she has plastic flowers and astroturf in her garden.

im glad, but if it was at least you could me what the jeff you were doing?! Wondering if im about to be summoned to HA or whether she just wants the same plant. baffled

Has she got a cat? if so, she might be about to complain that you have poisonous plants.

likesnowflakesinanocean · 01/06/2013 21:27

nope no cat there or in any of the row.

cozietoesie · 01/06/2013 21:29

Beats me then.

likesnowflakesinanocean · 01/06/2013 21:30

How did the HA respond to the report of overhigh sunflowers and bee attracting flowers?
Could you report HER to the HA for taking pictures of you and family in the garden without your knowledge?

LRDtheFeministDragon · 01/06/2013 21:34

She sounds mad.

Do you maybe live near me? The other day I heard a scratching noise, and looked up to see a woman calmly measuring the length and depth of my window boxes with a tape measure. I opened the door to ask her if everything was ok and she replied 'oh, I didn't think you'd even notice ... I'm just measuring up all the windowboxes [gesturing towards my neighbours]'.

Still absolutely no clue what that was about.

Sniggering at overly bee-attracting flowers! Grin

YourHandInMyHand · 01/06/2013 21:34

She sounds very odd. Bet the HA people had a good giggle about the sunflowers too high and attracting bees complaint!

Can't you just ask her?

cozietoesie · 01/06/2013 21:36

Goodness, YourHand. That would destroy the fun of the speculation!

likesnowflakesinanocean · 01/06/2013 21:38

housing are quite good, only letter was a reminder to keep the garden presentable which it is. Cant really ask we dont quite have that kind of friendship. madness about the window boxes, there are a few odd characters around here too

cozietoesie · 01/06/2013 21:40

Myself, I'd go out and take a few photos of her garden as well. Give the job to DH - 'twill distract him.

likesnowflakesinanocean · 01/06/2013 21:42

:D i may start leaving really obscure items on show in the garden.
dp does need a job wondering whether he should make popcorn

McNewPants2013 · 01/06/2013 21:43

The women is a loon.

ChaoticTranquility · 01/06/2013 21:44

Is your grass 6mm instead of 5mm OP? It could be that she's planning on complaining that your grass is 1mm too long Grin

likesnowflakesinanocean · 01/06/2013 21:46

my plants are taller than my grass :) that would be a correct statement. garden is very busy and green but in a nice controlled way not a jungle way.

OP posts:
TigerSwallowTail · 01/06/2013 21:48

Put up a picture of your garden and we'll all try and work out what she's planning on complaining about next. My bets are on "grass too green."

cozietoesie · 01/06/2013 21:49

What were you thinking of leaving out? Anything jolly hanging around?

ChaoticTranquility · 01/06/2013 21:49

Maybe you should have something like this in your garden Grin

cozietoesie · 01/06/2013 21:50

Get DP to sunbathe - in swimming trunks which just cover enough.

rockybalboa · 01/06/2013 21:51

She sounds like a loon. But an invasive loon, get DH to go round and ask her wtf she thought she was doing. I LOVE the fact that she complained about plants attracting bees, major nutter alert!!!

likesnowflakesinanocean · 01/06/2013 21:51

Dp is amused by the topiary suggestions. will have to think of some odd things to leave lying around
