To wonder why my neighbour

was hanging over the fence taking photos of my garden and now be a little worried.

She complained to the HA last year that our sunflowers were too high and our flowers attracted bees. Dp has just found her hanging over fence with camera phone. He is unimpressed because her hanging over fence has caused dog to jump on border and snap a few of his plants. but i am more wondering what she was taking photos of and why?!

We had girls at school whose parents carved(?!) penises and naked women out of topiary's, you aren't them right? Wink

Do start putting odd, but relatively normal/obscure things in your garden though, you could have much fun!

Cosydressinggown · 01/06/2013 23:35

Well how very dare you grow your sunflowers to such an unreasonable height.

cozietoesie I love writing in coloured ink. I'm wondering about my own sanity now.

cozietoesie · 01/06/2013 23:38

That's OK in the privacy of your own home - just don't write a formal letter of complaint in it or it will immediately be relegated/categorized!

cozietoesie · 01/06/2013 23:40

PS - you don't line your rooms with tinfoil do you ? (Some of my clients used to.)

Hmm
Flosshilde · 01/06/2013 23:46

People who live near Jodrell Bank telescope in Cheshire have to line their homes with tin foil as a condition of planning permission for extensions, etc.

Flosshilde

If you work in my local council plannin I just want to apologise for that email purporting to want to dig to Australia. Blush

HoHoHoNoYouDont · 02/06/2013 00:18

Definitely buy one of these Grin

samithesausage · 02/06/2013 01:34

What you want is those ikea vicious attack gnomes. Get them to attack her everytime she goes near the fence....

raisah · 02/06/2013 06:56

Call the police (none emergency) number tell them that she is taking pictures of your garden & say you are not comfortable about letting your kids play out. Hopefully a visit from the police will sort her out.

Calabria · 02/06/2013 07:55

Get one of these Grin

coffeeinbed · 02/06/2013 08:00

She's complaining about bees in the garden?
Now that there is decline in their numbers and even measures to protect them?

What next - birds in the sky?

Binkyridesagain · 02/06/2013 08:11

Maybe she wanted photographic evidence of the Bee stealing pollen so she can take it to the police, in the hope they can identify and prosecute it?

Szeli · 02/06/2013 08:54

Take pictures of her garden and when she asks why... "Well you have pictures of mine..." x

Noideaaboutanything · 02/06/2013 08:59

If you don't get on that well, she may have just been impressed by one of your plants and wanted one herself but did not dare ask you what is was so just took a photo. I took a picture of a strangers flower in his front garden once as it was so nice. Turned out it was a magnolia tree. Just being a bit more positive about her snooping!!

cozietoesie · 02/06/2013 09:01

Positive away, Noidea. Just remember that this is a sunflower reporter.

Noideaaboutanything · 02/06/2013 09:25

The sunflowers was last year, there is no evidence that she was taking photos of sunflowers yesterday I suspect the sunflowers haven't even bloomed yet anyway.

snooter · 02/06/2013 10:18

Have you any lurid frilly undies you could hang out to really impress her?

EyesCrossedLegsAkimbo · 02/06/2013 11:46

Put a bee hive in your garden, she'll love that! Grin

quoteunquote · 02/06/2013 12:15

get one of these wormeries but wear a bee keepers suit every time you approach it.

check out on here the legalities of her behaviour

cozietoesie · 02/06/2013 12:37

In seriousness, I'd be tempted to write a very short 'For Information Only - No Action Required' note about the matter for your HA to put on file in case she's thinking about some new plan of campaign. Twill do no harm given the history between your households.

likesnowflakesinanocean · 02/06/2013 19:40

amused by the topiary, zombies and mooning gnomes suggestions there are so seriously weird garden ornaments. will keep an eye on the post and see if we receive anything from HA. hope the positive suggestions of a plant are true

MyCarHasBrokenDownAgain · 02/06/2013 19:54

Plant a row of dildos.

Start with them deep (ooer) then every night move them up out of the ground an inch or so. See if you can completely mindfuck her :-D

likesnowflakesinanocean · 04/06/2013 09:31

load more plants broke today because she insists on hanging over the fence shouting the dogs making them jump on raised beds. so fed up Sad.

OP posts:
Crinkle77 · 04/06/2013 09:38

She sounds crazy. Sunflowers too high and flowers atracting bees? I have never heard anything so ridiculous. She is invading your privacy by hanging over the fence taking pics. Can't you report her in return?

yoshipoppet · 04/06/2013 09:40

Have you thought of putting a sprinkler under the fence where she hangs over it? Or even a hosepipe pointing up? Then you could lurk in the house and every time her face appears over your fence, switch on the hose.
