Aibu that JLO should know better

As a treat in this half term I said my dc can watch the Britain Got Talent results. I am bloody disgusted that on comes JLO Ms Lopez in next to nothing on Shiney black leotard cut right up to her lady garden with her big old booty out for all to see. Then she starts getting on her knees and pushing her crotch forward to front camera shot. Ohhh gross and not on.
Surely ITV should bloody realise that kids are watching and that their are very young kids in the show backstage being shown this?
Before I get flamed I did not expect such sexyness in a family show and yep I could of turned it over. Instead I said to my dc that not all singers dress in that way and that she was an old show off....
And then Ms Holden silly cow said " I just want to bite JLO arse. Grow up women...

Didn't they get similarly flamed with Rihanna in a risquey outfit? Or was that the X Factor? Beings in the ratings I suppose.

I don't watch it, but weren't the BGT results on @ 9.30 - so after the watershed?

yep think that was the x factor. But this is a show where children are present at the show when she is flashing the flesh.
Hazel would agree with you but this is the school holidays when children are up after the watershed. Ms Holden coming out with a comment like that is just childish and demeaning

I often wonder about children actors, especially the ones who are in horrors such as the shinning or sexy films such as ghost of girlfriend past. How do they protect the children.

She was on on the results show which began at 9.30pm, so after the watershed. Not only that, we were told she was going to be on on the main programme, she is known for not wearing a lot, so you could have taken measures to make sure your DC didn't see it if you didn't want to.

Although its not something I want to see I think if a parent makes the decision to allow their child to watch tv after the water shed they have to accept that the viewing may not be aimed at a young audience.

I personally love a bit of la Lopez, was planning on watching the results tomorrow morning with dd but may not now if it was too sexy for an impressionable 9 year old!

I'm just watching it now, myself and have fast forwarded it - That was almost cher like in its fanjo baring ness i cant don't want to see my own fanjo never mind a woman ages with my mother no matter how well preserved she is.

yep I didn,t want to see her Fanjo thrust onto my 32 inch screen either as a grown adult let alone impressionable dc,s. The arse hanging out and being cut into must give the most awful chafing. It was a crap tune anyway....

I don't get this thing of the watershed somehow not being the watershed when it's holidays / it's stuff kids like etc. It it was taking Dr Who or something and making an 'adult' episode I'd totally get it, but if it's after the watershed anyway...

BGT had some conflicting ideas. It wants to encourage children to star in it and compete but also wants to be raunchy and sexy. I thought we were trying to protect children from that kind of peer pressure and relentless sexualisation.

Crypes I,m with you on that one, sadly I think watershed or not this is what is becoming acceptable in T.V and music video,s daily. Lopez being a Mother to young twins girl and boy would think that it,s time for her to hang up the tight leotard and thrusting and pack her bottom away. Same goes for Amanda Holden and her silly comment. If I were a parent of a child on that show I would of had words with her myself..

I haven't had MTV for nigh on 9 years. But it was going on pre-watershed then. Madonna's been overtly sexual on't telly since the early 80s. Elvis was doing it in the 50s.

YABU OP. J-Lo has made a very lucrative career out of Booty and Crotch shots. Were you expecting that just because she had children she was going to ditch what she gets paid for.Shock If you didn't want your DCs to see it (post watershed) it's up to you to check it out before you let them watch it.
