AIBU to wish people would stop staring!

I have recently noticed people having a good old stare at me. Not a discrete glance but a full on stare as I walk past, actually turning their heads to watch me once I have already passed them. I tend to catch them staring out of the corner of my eye, then if I turn round a few steps on they are still staring. What are they looking at? I am fully clothed, no distinguishing features. AIBU to want them to stop?

I am almost tempted to shout "what are you looking at have I got a tampon on my head" which I once heard a teenager say to her friend I'm obviously not gong to say that

Nope I make Samantha brick look like a stunner.

Is your skirt tucked into your knickers?

Loads of people have suddenly started staring at you for no reason whatsoever?

Do you look like someone famous maybe? Or are you just being a bit paranoid?

Is this a stealth boast and you are the double of Angelina Joile or something?

Seriously though, are you sure you aren't imagining it? Maybe they have given you a glance, which you have clocked, so then make eye contact with them, so they think you are staring at them?

You could always try staring deeply right back at them; that tends to make people look away quickly!

No. It is that level of staring though. It makes me check in the nearest mirror that I don't have yesterday's knickers stuck to my leg or my makeup melted all over my face.

It's not loads of people, it's not a stealth boast I'm just wondering wtf they are staring at!

No piercings, one hidden tattoo. Usually wearing boots, skinnies, blouse and parka still in May this weather is rubbish sometimes towing two small children.

Live in a small place but don't know the people doing the staring. I'd ask them what they were staring at if I did.

No idea why, but leave it 20 years or so and you'll become invisible.

Maybe you're walking about suspiciously, eyes darting from side to side trying to catch people out who are staring at you. And people are walking past thinking, hey up, whats wrong with this woman, and turning back for a second glance. Only to find you have turned round and you are still staring at them just a thought.

Not that I get a lot of stares but I just tend to stare back, let them know they've been caught out. But bizarre the starings just started with you.

Have you seen any strange lights in the sky? Unusual plants appearing in your garden? They could all be pod people. RUN!!!!!!

Well, you might unwittingly be staring at them to check whether they're staring at you. They're probably wondering why you're examining them.

No post it's on my back, no trousers at half mast. I think people are just being nosy but I find it off putting and want to trip over my feet!

Well either you are a hot topic of local gossip or there is something unusual about your appearance. Whichever it is, it is nevertheless very rude for people to stare. All you can do is try to ignore it.
