My DH likes Joni Mitchell

Some of her songs break my heart. He thinks they are romantic. And positive. Am I thinking too hard about the lyrics and music? I'm off to bed but I will catch up tomorrow.

Depends on which album from which era you listen to.
I rather like Hejira
and Court and Spark

oh and Hissing of summer lawns

but they're songs I have listened to for years and now find soothing in many ways

My dh loves Joni, but her songs make me cry.

She gave a daughter up for adoption when she was younger. I can't stop thinking of that when I listen to her songsSad

They have met and they apparently get on very well, which is lovely.

My dh loves shit like Ac dc . He wanted You Shook Me All Night Long for our wedding song.
And Too Drunk to Fuck by Dead Kenedys for last song of the night.
He is a good husband though

My dh also loves that other folky lady, Nancy something, I can't think of her name- dh is snoring so I can't ask him.

It's really annoying me that I can't remember her name- she's the only woman he's allowed to leave me for. I'm allowed Johnny Depp, so I'm fine with him going off with Nancy.
