Haven't tried doing a link before, so if it doesn't work I'm sorry!

Clicky link :)

I'll read it and report back.

HollyBerryBush · 19/04/2013 20:23

He's paid to defend people. That's his job. He's good at it. The best.

If he didn't do it, someone else would. That is the nature of our legal system. What would you like really, for the defendant to have no legal representation? Hung out before it even got to trial?

ihatethecold · 19/04/2013 20:23

How did you make the link work?
Your sooo clever, please spill!

ihatethecold · 19/04/2013 20:24

It's the comments about women and rape I don't agree with.

HollyBerryBush · 19/04/2013 20:24

All he highlights is loop holes in the law, that shouldn't be there when the law is passed.

TheCunnyFunt · 19/04/2013 20:26

Ihate, do this but don't leave a space between the start brackets and the end brackets http://m.guardian.co.uk/lifeandstyle/lostinshowbiz/2013/apr/18/mr-loophole-nick-freeman-motoring-rape And just write what you want to put here, then some more brackets

CabbageLooking · 19/04/2013 20:27

I believe that the CPS has a special barrister who is specialising in prosecuting Freeman's cases and is starting to make an impact on the number of cases he wins.

There is a concept of the "spirit" of the law - Freeman has no respect for that and therefore I have little respect for him.

TheCunnyFunt · 19/04/2013 20:27

Sorry didn't explain that well, where I left a space between the first set of brackets and the beginning of the web address, don't leave a space.

Happygirl77 · 19/04/2013 20:27

YANBU!

Rape is not about red-blooded alpha males and women in dresses. It is about power, control and humiliation.

Idiot.

Err excuse me Mr Freeman

The Range Rover Bluetooth system works absolutely fine because there are notices around the factory asking staff to turn Bluetooth off as it picks up bloody everything.

I know it works.
Anyway. Dumb cow should have pulled over and called the person back.

On high horse now!
Angry

I just think that people who have done something wrong are massive Twonks, if they don't just admit it and take their punishment.

Anyone can do something wrong, only complete Twonks don't just say, "Sorry I'm a massive Twonk, I won't do it again, and pay the fine, do the sentence, or take the ban, you don't take up court time, spend pointless money on defending yourself,

Once you are on my Twonk list you can't get off until you make it right.

Twonk- gender neutral encompassing word, combining twat and wanker, for inclusive abuse.

He is a Twonk, for his stupid statements, but his clients are massive Twonks, who need to redeem themselves.

BrevilleTron · 19/04/2013 20:45

Hear hear Quote

ihatethecold · 19/04/2013 20:51

My issue isn't the clients he deals with, if you get as far as the end of the article, he talks about women and rape.

That's my beef with himAngry

OP posts:
Spikeytree · 19/04/2013 20:55

Victim blaming again. His comments show him to be scornful of women in general, but he obviously has a low opinion of men too, if he believes that they cannot control themselves.

Just generally, all round, he seems a massive twat. YANBU.

HollyBerryBush · 19/04/2013 21:00

He vocalises opinions that would be main stream. Most people don't vocalise them. that doesn't mean his opinions are right of course, they are generally the ones that pop into your head through conditioning, but you have to work through them

BrevilleTron · 19/04/2013 21:05

Well he can defend his dumbass clients all he wants

And I'll defend the Range Rover.

Yes I'm annoyed with all his other stupid opinions too but dissing a car I build? on PMT week!

I'm tempted to rivet his bollocks to my bin!

DuelingFanjo · 19/04/2013 21:08

What he says is "On rape, he warns that women need to "take responsibility" for how they dress. "As a red-blooded alpha male," Nick explains, "let me state unequivocally that I believe how a woman dresses (and behaves in that dress) tells a man what's on her mind." That said, he informs readers that his defence work has brought him into contact with "cases where those who have been dressed in a perfectly conventional way were still victims of this heinous crime." Key word: still. The way a woman dresses, Nick concludes, "can victimise men"."

So he is basically saying men can't help themselves, which IMO men should find highly offensive. What a fucking twat.

catgirl1976 · 19/04/2013 21:09

YANBU He's a twunt

BrevilleTron · 19/04/2013 21:11

Alpha male?

Looks a bit Gamma to me!

Red blooded male?
Aren't reptiles cold blooded?

man alive it really is PMT week normally I don't let this much get to me

WMittens · 19/04/2013 23:22

"let me state unequivocally that I believe how a woman dresses (and behaves in that dress) tells a man what's on her mind."

That makes me physically sick.
