Dh still not back with ds

Im rageing

Dh took ds 4 with him to get car serviced at 9am today. Ds has school at 12:15 and they are still not back. I had a txt at 11am to say they will not be long and to get school clothes ready and battery low.

They are not back and dh phone off

I dont think ds is going to school today Angry

YABU to be 'raging' when you have no idea what's happened to make them late.

Presume if DS is only part time school he is under compulsory school age, so a one off day off is hardly the end of the world. He'll probably have learned as much in a morning of one to one time with his Dad, watching a mechanic, as he would in an afternoon at school anyway.

Why would dh delibelately have your son miss nursery? School? Id be more worried than annoyed TBH

Something's obviously happened that has prevented them getting back as they planned. Your husband wouldn't deliberately do something to prevent your son getting to school. Calm down.

If battery is low then phone either died or he turned it off to save power, perhaps he took him on way back home.

Why don't you trust him to either have taken him or have a good reason that be didn't and isn't back get?

Why don't you phone the garage or the s hook find out if they r still there or whether your dh called the school to let them know?

I think that I would be bored stiff if I had waited for a car to be mended for hours with a small child and to have a hysterical partner would not help! It doesn't sound like he's being deliberately tricky just that this has taken a long time. Hope they're back soon. I'd have a cuppa and enjoy the peace and quiet if I were you!

Agreed, relax now - they are fine. I'm sure your DH is probably frustrated too as this wouldn't have been his plan for the day either!

Missing an afternoon of nursery really isn't a big deal. Just think of it as DH homeschooling him for a day.

Right, so now call school let them know your ds won't be in and enjoy the peace. No way would hours in a garage be anything less than frustrating and stress full given that there's more wrong than first thought or it wouldn't be taking so long.

Least they r both safe.
