To be upset about other talkboards laughing at mumsnet

A friend on fcbk has told me a talkboard she belongs to has started a thread basically taking the piss out of Mumsnet. She hasnt given me a link but i thnk shes telling the truth.

Yabu. It's the internet. MN isn't "real"....it's great and offers support and somewhere to come and waste time as well as a good laugh but tis' not to be taken too seriously. Historically people have always poked fun and things at MN.

But why does it bother you so much? I just don't get this. Mumsnet is not the be all and end all of parenting websites. Sometimes Mumsnet is full of self indulgent shite and sometimes it's great. I on occasion show my husband a particularly wanky thread and laugh loudly.

Doesn't bother me. There are lovely, intelligent, witty and interesting people on Mumsnet. But there are also some awful eejits, nutters, aggressive cows and rude obnoxious twats (I belong to the former group if you're wondering).

But I used to post on Digital Spy and it was the same. Lots of nice posters and some absolute shits.

No forum is perfect.
