Im not sure I understand why there is a sudden hatred in the media of mumsnet, however as other posters have mentioned we all know of the long running feud with the nethuns and petrolheads and possibly a few others.
I take Mumsnet as I find it, fantastic if you need real advice or just need a chuckle over the attention seeking idiot "journalists" in the Daily Mail. As with any website or walk of life there will always be people who are just vile.
What I object to is been called a nutjob shreaking harpy because I use this site, im as far away from the London, boden wearing stereotype as you can get. I am northern and (shock Horror) engaged to someone forrin!

The people who use mumsnet are the people whose opinion of it matters. What other people using other sites think about a site they don't even use is really not relevant.
