Dd was calling so dp went up to check on her and he called me up. She is sat on her bed glistening. She's been at the Vaseline and covered her face in it!

Hahaha Mine did similar aged 3. Only she tried to wash her hair with it.

10 washes it took to get it out. I remind her of this in front of her bfs as she is 18 now. Grin

cozietoesie · 24/03/2013 20:22

Darn it - I thought this was going to be a lot more exciting!

Grin
MummyPig24 · 24/03/2013 20:25

Sorry not very exciting but hilarious. Her little face shining out from the bed, it's in her hair and everything. Yuk!

At least it wasn't black biro. (voice of bitter experience).

MonkeyBlossom · 24/03/2013 20:29

Dd rubbed a combination of Vaseline and sudocreme into the bedroom wall when she was about 18 months, two years on the walls still shiny!

onepieceoflollipop · 24/03/2013 20:29

haha (sorry)
when dd2 was 3, her skin looked odd, paler than usual but lovely and smooth. Then I noticed an entire fair shade of concealer stick was used up!

TiaMariaandSpringCleaning · 24/03/2013 20:30

Haha! Must admit I was expecting something much more naughty too though! Grin

SagelyNodding · 24/03/2013 20:31

:)
ds1 at 18 months tried to "shave like daddy" (no razor thank God) using Sudocreme-that was a bugger to get off too! Good luck op!!

gordyslovesheep · 24/03/2013 20:33

mine smeared body cream all over herself aged 4...only it had a hint of tan...and I didn't notice until the next morning - she looked like Tony the Tiger

YouTheCat · 24/03/2013 20:35

Ds (then aged about 8 and has ASD) managed to get the lid off a tin of emulsion, strip himself and then pour the whole lot over him and spread it through the house.

He looked like a little ghost. I was just glad it wasn't gloss.

theoldtrout01876 · 24/03/2013 20:39

I had a dog that ate a huge pot of vaseline and my dads new false teeth all in 1 sitting :o ( we had gone to church, she got up to the mantel), she shit teeth out EVERYWHERE very explosively the next day :o

MummyPig24 · 24/03/2013 20:42

She came home from nursery the other week, she and her friend had been playing "post office" and she had stamps "01 oct 2000" all over her arms and tummy. Took a week to get them off!

Ds2(6) secretly started using my sun-in spray on his hair. He is quite dark. His hair went from mouse brown to brassy blond when he went out to play in the sun!
And he returned to school and all the girls wanted to touch it!

FryOneFatManic · 24/03/2013 21:59

Vaseline. Oh yes, the time I went out to play in a darts match. Leaving behind DP, looking after DD (aged 5ish) and DS (aged no more than 18 months).

DS was put to bed. Turns out he can climb out his cot. He grabs the Biiiiiig jar of Vaseline. And smears everything. Walls, cot, bedding carpet, himself. And did it silently so DP only realised what he'd done when he went up to check him.

I came home to find that DP had sorted DS out, clean bedding, clean clothing, etc, and after putting him back to bed, was downstairs having a (very quiet) rant, pacing about the kitchen.

We did manage to clean the furniture and walls over the next day or two, but it wasn't until someone told us to iron the carpet with newspaper between carpet and iron that we got most of the stuff out the carpet.

Oh well, we can laugh about it now. Grin

My two dcs coated each other in eczema cream recently and to my horror, my 2 year Old ATE large handfuls of it. I had a very embarrassing call to the nice people at nhs direct to make sure he wasn't going to poison himself but as it turned out to be mostly something not toxic, he was fine. Except for the very slippery poo he managed a day later!

They even coated the window in it...

PseudoBadger · 24/03/2013 22:05

I put Vaseline on our poor cat when I was small....

FryOneFatManic · 24/03/2013 22:11

I've remebered another one, from when DS was about 2.5 yrs old (It was always him, DD was and is too sensible).

He got hold of a permanent marker pen and proceeded to draw around the bathroom. An hour before people were due to arrive to view the house. Shock

Lucky that most of it was on things like tiles, bath, etc that I could clean fairly quickly. But he'd also drawn on the back of the door, which was normal wood that was white gloss painted. I scrubbed and eventually got it off, but you could clearly see something had been cleaned off the door. However, this bathroom was small and the only way to get more than one person in to look means that the scrubbed side of the door is unlikely to be seen.

I'd arranged for the agent to show the people round that time so scarpered quick and DP re-painted the door that evening.

VikingLady · 24/03/2013 22:15

DH aged 6 painted himself completely (apart from a bit on his back that he couldn't reach) with creosote.

It had to wear off over the summer holidays.

PseudoBadger · 24/03/2013 22:16

At least he was weatherproof!

redwellybluewelly · 24/03/2013 22:21

And with our summers that can only be a good thing Grin

devonshiredumpling · 24/03/2013 22:26

all was quiet in my car when i was driving .turned around to check on then my ds who was two years old only to find out that he had covered himself ,my car door and his car seat in sudocrem. he looked at me with a look of satisfaction on his face

FryOneFatManic · 24/03/2013 22:27

When my DBro was about 15, he decided one summer day to use sunblock to protect his nipples while he sunbathed.

Only he made too large a circle when he put the cream on and ended up with two white circles of skin in a suntanned chest. Grin In front of his then girlfriend too......

Tiredmumno1 · 24/03/2013 22:34

My eldest two thought it would be great for it to snow in their bedroom, they got they bottle of talc, and covered everything including themselves, in the space of ten minutes. That was a loooong day cleaning that (smelt lovely afterwards though) Grin

Creameggkr · 24/03/2013 22:36

Twice yes twice this weekend dd has been found wearing sudo creme gloves and mask Blush
