I started watching it - ahem - with my DD but she only likes the theme tune then gets bored. Yet I find myself still watching it, and not only that but laughing at it too.

Ben and Holly best ever episodes have to include Big Bad Barry in my opinion, so funny.

OP, you should deffo take your DD to Peppa Pig land. We took ours last summer and they loved it, but DH and I loved it more Grin.

Juanca · 11/02/2013 18:33

I also like the show and like Daddy Pig but I really dislike Peppa. Rude, bossy, imperial little tyrant.

This is the second thread I've commented on today about disliking Peppa - I am not going round looking for them, honest. Blush

RobinSparkles · 11/02/2013 18:52

Did I say that DD1 watches it when DD2 has it on? DD1 is actually engrossed in it, at this very moment, and DD2 is nowhere to be found!!! Hmm :o

Alliwantisaroomsomewhere · 11/02/2013 18:54

I love the episode where Mr Bull DIGS UP THE ROAD!!!! My absolute favourite MOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

Mondaybaby · 09/03/2013 19:14

No, YANBU. It is good. But Ben and Holly is better on balance. I love the relationship between Nanny Plum and The Wise Old Elf!

goodtoesnaughtytoes · 09/03/2013 19:26

You will soon be sick of it when you've seen every single episode fifty times. Thankfully there have been some new episodes on recently.

I kind of miss In The Night Garden but dd2 will be old enough to like that soon Grin

NutellaNutter · 09/03/2013 20:00

Argh YABU Peppa Pig is the work of the devil. DC2 obsessed so currently going through it for a second time. Can't wait till it's over. Must have seen every episode about 100 times. Seriously.

FamiliesShareGerms · 09/03/2013 20:04

I like Peppa and Ben and Holly. They are almost junior Simpsons, with the various cultural references and veiled humour

zwischenzug · 09/03/2013 20:05

It's bloody annoying that on peppa pig, and ben and holly, all the characters (except a few rarely seen ones) have southern accents. I'm forever correcting my daughter pronouncing 'fast' as 'farrrrst' and 'castle' as 'carrrrstle'.

She's starting to understand we don't talk like that round here but unfortunately she only seems to like those programmes.

anniroc · 09/03/2013 20:57

I love it! Particularly Grampy Rabbit, voiced by the wondrous Brian Blessed...

Laura4041 · 09/03/2013 21:07

Altogether now....Bong bing boo, bing bong bing. bing bong bingly bongly boo

maddening · 09/03/2013 22:33

I take your bing bong boo and raise it with a rinky dinky doo.

Though for songs granpy rabbit's "the sea and the sky" is the best :)

EndoplasmicReticulum · 09/03/2013 22:35

YANBU.

My second son is called George because of Peppa Pig, so I will always have a bit of a soft spot for it.

My boys now consider themselves much too old for it, but we were all laughing at an episode the other day.

You all need to seek out The Big Knights, which they made before Peppa. It's a work of genius.

DizzyPurple · 09/03/2013 22:38

I love it. Daddy Pig reminds me of my brother every time he says "I am a bit of an expert on that" He denies its him though!
My favourite is the one where he tries to put up a picture and knocks a big whole out the wall!

DizzyPurple · 09/03/2013 22:39

"Hole" not whole!

PeppaFuckingPig · 09/03/2013 22:41

Peppa is a cheeky madam. The way she talks about her dad's fat belly and then they all fall down laughing at her - i'd send her to bed without any supper.

Meglet · 09/03/2013 22:45

Yanbu. The one when Mr Wolf moves in is my fave.

We went to peppa pig world last year. Its fucking trippy, exactly like walking into a cartoon, even down to the music and voices on the ride tannoys. I've never taken acid but if there's a place to take it then that would be it. I loved it but was a bit scared on the windy castle ride.

WorkingtoohardMama · 09/03/2013 22:48

I love both peppa pig and ben and holly - I work with a man who I'm convinced the wise old elf is based on - he gets all anxious if anyone tries to take a short cut (like magic!)

I love the episode where the wise old elf sets his clock by the distant bells, which are actually just bells that nanny plum is ringing!

Geekster · 09/03/2013 22:49

There's a windy castle ride!!

We have started watching Ben and Holly's little kingdom too, but I find it disconcerting that they have the exact same voices as Mummy pig, Daddy pig and miss Rabbit.

HappyHippyChick · 09/03/2013 22:53

I love Peppa Pig, I have a secret crush on daddy pig! Blush. But I agree she is a brat!

However I really love Ben and Holly, the spies episode is my favourite!

Llareggub · 09/03/2013 22:58

I love Ben and Holly so much. I watched it with DS2 (another who was named after George Pig) and we giggled together. So funny!

BikeRunSki · 09/03/2013 23:07

I rather like Peppa Pig as a whole, but think that they are a bit mean to Daddy Pig.

EeyoresGloomyPlace · 09/03/2013 23:09

Oh I love B&H, Peppa too but B&H is definitely superior. Rinky dinky dooo...

There's a guy down our local who is the living image of Daddy Pig, makes me stifle a chuckle every time we chat to him.

cupcakemumma · 09/03/2013 23:15

Absolutely love it, always makes me smile! My DD is 17mo and loves watching it too, doing a little dance to the theme tune, very sweet :)

FamiliesShareGerms · 10/03/2013 08:21

Are Peppa and B&H made by the same people (as well as having lots of the same voices)? I just noticed Ben Elf on a Christmas card in DD's Peppa meets Father Christmas book...
