Biscuit to go with the chip on your shoulder.

Bluestocking · 30/01/2013 20:19

Perhaps a Biscuit would help?

Define 'class'.

RuleBritannia · 30/01/2013 20:22

Give an example. Wine

BumpingFuglies · 30/01/2013 20:23

Absolutely OP. Dreadful upstarts.
Next?

MrsTerryPratchett · 30/01/2013 20:23

Irony, much?

BumpingFuglies · 30/01/2013 20:25

Are there middle classes then? How many? How are they classified?

discotequewreck · 30/01/2013 20:26

I live in what I would call a predominantly middle class area. Okay you get snobbery anywhere and everywhere but what irritates me, is the people who think they're superior just because they have more money.

Money which was made in the property boom, through cheap oil and exploitation.

Today I have had to endure racist comments, comments about single mothers.

OP posts:
wewereherefirst · 30/01/2013 20:27

Racist comments and derogatory comments about single mothers isn't snobbery y'know? It's universally shitty behaviour.

saycheeeeeese · 30/01/2013 20:28

Don't drip feed OP it wont end well, what happened and give examples before you get thrown any more buns.

MrsTerryPratchett · 30/01/2013 20:29

Racism is most definitely no respecter of class. Really.

Sorry that you have had some shitty people to deal with today.

MorrisZapp · 30/01/2013 20:29

What's your point? Having a go at the middle class seems pretty snobby to me.

TotallyBS · 30/01/2013 20:29

disco - I have an Asian friend that lives in East London. I don't think that he will agree with you about racism being a MC thing :)

discotequewreck · 30/01/2013 20:29

It is ironic isn't it, that I am generalising about middle class people. However they are hardly a marginalised group are they Hmm

OP posts:
nefertarii · 30/01/2013 20:30

Its nothing to with being middle class. Its to do with being a twat. And there are loads of tests regardless of class.

But you do get the irony of your posts, don't you?

nefertarii · 30/01/2013 20:31

shit. Well done op. I think its the first time I have seen an op get it.

wewereherefirst · 30/01/2013 20:32

This thread is just snobbery and based wholly on opinions you've got from a few people, don't tar everyone with the same brush, you're no better than those 'middle classes' who pass judgment at you.

cocoachannel · 30/01/2013 20:34
Viviennemary · 30/01/2013 20:35

I agree actually. But I'm probably a culprit these days. I never used to be.

propertyNIGHTmareBEFOREXMAS · 30/01/2013 20:37

I would swank straight past you with my designer handbag, OP.
Being MC rocks.

Not really. fFs OP, stop discriminating against us Middle classes. Once you see past our Land and Range Rovers we are really quite nice Smile and not that different to you.

LittleChimneyDroppings · 30/01/2013 20:39

Middle class doesn't always = money

Alisvolatpropiis · 30/01/2013 20:50

Ffs OP...glad the irony hasn't totally gone over your head.

By the way...racism isn't "snobbery" it's racism.

Middle class women can be single mothers too...Shock

Biscuit
RuleBritannia · 30/01/2013 21:09

It's not middle class snobbery. It's just knowing how to behave in public, in private, in school, walking along the street.

When people who know how to behave - yes etiquette - they will notice those who do not conform to their standards and think they are not as good as they are.

Sallyingforth · 30/01/2013 21:12

You are certainly BU. You should know your place and keep to it.
In fact I'm going to write to the Daily Mail about this!
