'Let's go and wind up some mums'

Aside from the deliberate and nasty trolling of the feminist board, what possesses people to come over here on the wind up?

Is it really that thrilling to get a load of potentially outraged responses from a load of strangers?

Wankers.

Interesting the level of vitriol and misogyny aimed at women who happen to be parents. Some people really do have issues. Mummy not breastfeed you for long enough? Or perhaps too long? Hard to correctly gauge the optimum lactation time. Now there's a thread idea. Given that you're on sojourn from a comedy forum, one would anticipate slightly less flaccid material. Disappointing. But I'm sure you're no strangers to disappointment. Or flaccidity.

So it's a game to see how many user names from your forum you can say on MN.

How original....

Trolls have many sub types. This lot are the common or garden pissabouts, and therefore not so bad. IMO, of course.

I am not distressed or aghast SM. Where on earth does it say that in my OP.

I have just stated that this is not specifically about one thread, but about loads of different trolling today. And I genuinely do wonder why people would want to specifically come on here on the wind up. It's a perfectly acceptable topic of conversation. Jesus you are so incredibly tiresome sometimes.

There was a very strange one today. Thread called 'this will be deleted immediately' - very odd OP who said she had been banned loads of times under different email addresses. MN deleted it in about 5 mins. Or I imagined it. Grin

They really aren't very funny are they manic?
If any of them had a modicum of wit I might laugh and ignore, but this lot are the troll z list.

No vitriol canada?

Look at droopy drawers up the thread. One of your mates. No misogyny in that post then?

I think that this site has a high traffic rate and so many people are genuinely NICE. So they will give the benefit of the doubt and reply in a well meaning manner. It makes me cross that so many take the piss and MN are genuinely unable to prove anything - but yet you cannot SAY anything, or you are an evil trollhunter.

What is scary - one day these lads (and it will be boys) might be parents too.

The thing is, on the drugs thread some of you eejits have actually upset people who have been in similar situations or know others who have been.

How very witty. :(

tiresome is knowing mnhq advice is don't engage trolls.you've decided start thread
I'm thinking you like bit Trollery as you can get all het up.thats tiresome and preictable

Report
ZooAnimals · 20/01/2013 20:30

because they get a lot of attention.

We can't ignore them and report we have to post '0/10' or Biscuit or a colourful insult. They always end up at the top of the list, whilst the slightly boring but genuine ones languish on page 4 with 2 posts.

And then the thread gets deleted and there 5 new threads asking what happened to the old thread.

And then someone starts a thread about why they needed to troll in the first place.

If no-one responded it would fall of the board and they'd go elsewhere.
