I find it too scary!

Binkyridesagain · 06/01/2013 17:04

YANBU, I've cried every time I've seen it and read the book through tears.

weblette · 06/01/2013 17:06

He can put the dcs to bed/dry up their tears tonight!

YANBU.

Poor bunnies....!!

:(

DragonMamma · 06/01/2013 17:08

YANBU

I can't watch it without sobbing uncontrollably

Binkyridesagain · 06/01/2013 17:10

Do not go any where near warhorse.
I've read the book, nose and eyes streaming. I will not go anywhere near the film. A) because the films are never as good as the book and b) because I can't afford the tissues

weblette · 06/01/2013 17:14

Dd has just announced she hates it, the boys are obviously made of sterner stuff...

Thanks for the WarHorse tip, most Morpurgos make me sob so that's one I'll avoid for a while!

MrsRajeshKoothrappali · 06/01/2013 17:14

Anyone seen/read Animal Farm?

OMFG!

Boxer being taken away still haunts me!!

:(

Binkyridesagain · 06/01/2013 17:15

Stop it! It's bad enough typing on an iPod without my specs, doing it through tears is damn near impossible

perplexedpirate · 06/01/2013 17:16

No way am I watching that!
The bit at the end where the black rabbit comes for Hazel.

weblette · 06/01/2013 17:17

Read it MrsR, sure as heck won't watch it!

thebody · 06/01/2013 17:19

Made me cry at school as teacher read us the book.

Also avoid black beauty, any lassie film and ring of bright water!!!

Sunnywithshowers · 06/01/2013 17:20

YANBU

I'm not even watching it and I'm tearing up.

I watched War Horse at the theatre. I was in bits - there was a scene where a puppet horse was in extreme pain and I was beyond tears, I thought I was going to vomit.

MrsRajeshKoothrappali · 06/01/2013 17:22

Is Ring Of Bright Water the one with the adorable little otter......

.....and the spade...?

Binkyridesagain · 06/01/2013 17:22

OMG Lassie come home, nearly forgot that, I might treat myself on Tuesday when I finally have the house to myself.

weblette · 06/01/2013 17:23

weblette · 06/01/2013 17:23

mrsjay · 06/01/2013 17:24

just hide there there it is ok watership down is not a kids film imo I watched it very young and was traumatised thanks mum it wasnt about fluffy bunnies

Boomerwang · 06/01/2013 17:25

YABU. I cried when I was a child but I tried to watch it again the other day and couldn't get into it at all. I was rather disappointed as I fancied a good sob.

mrsjay · 06/01/2013 17:25

No way am I watching that!
The bit at the end where the black rabbit comes for Hazel.

Binkyridesagain · 06/01/2013 17:26

I want to see warhorse on stage, no body is brave enough to see it with me though and I can't go on my own as I will need someone to carry me out at the end.
I have just realised my mother took me to see watership down when I was 6 years old, what kind of mother does that Smile

mrsjay · 06/01/2013 17:27

dd loves warhorse she went to see it in the cinema with school and apparently the history teacher was passing out tissues , she watched it over christmas and we came home to a snivelling 14 yr old all red eyes and sobbing, she said oh you have to watch it , no ta dearie I will pass Hmm

Sunnywithshowers · 06/01/2013 17:30

The bit at the end with the black rabbit.

I am now actually crying, FFS. I'm a middle aged woman crying about a fictional rabbit...

I remember going to see it at the cinema when I was a kid. I've had to have therapy...

Binkyridesagain · 06/01/2013 17:31

Tell her to read the book mrs jay, they are always better than the films, make sure you stock up on tissues first though
