to totally relate to Bridget Jones...

Sat here with a packet of hula hoops and a bottle of wine, who's put on half a bastard stone over Christmas and who's single and feels like a warthog?

It is a bit mean showing this on NYE but I do love this movie/book.

Yes just drink lots of wine but I would trade the hula hoops for some Texas BBQ Pringles.

I'll raise ur hula hoops with a tub of cheeselets, a 36 wk bump and really bad hip and back pain which is making it nearly impossible for me to walk. I'm having a glass of wine tho so cheers to u both x

Xmas Smile thanks, my 2007/2008 bump is snoring upstairs and dp wants to wake her for the fireworks at midnight Hmm I doubt I'll even be awake by then!

I relate to Bridget Jones! Single and all my friends are smug married couples. I have doritos and dip, and profiteroles!!

And when Mark Darcy turns up to the bridget party, can someone lift my head from the pile of champagne glasses/canapes so I can drunkenly gurn at him and make him mine! because being single sucks. Especially on NYE. Bah humbug! Grin

First year I have had a fella in 5 years but we were apart as he was working away. I was in bed by 9 as returned from holiday at parents (I live abroad) so had terrible jetlag.

Before I have loved spending the night on my own watching tv, eating what I want and not sharing the remote :)

Can I join? I'm not on my own atm but I am single. And just about convinced that my friend isn't expecting other company for the ny.... It took me a while tho, as he put out a helluva lot of food for two, and he's dressed up which is unusual.
I'll raise a dram for us all.
