. . . to a bloke who has changed his name from a perfectly good one to a reeeeeally stoopid one, and who works for his uncle on a pointless vanity project.

Yeah flame away, I know I am being U. I expect he's lovely. Or something.

But if I was her Mum, I'd be "Kate, Kate! Let your Aunty Ivy set you up with a nice suitable boy!!

Is this her third marriage?

charitygirl · 27/12/2012 16:46

Arf! Yes, he sounds really mature.

TheSecretCervixDNCOP · 27/12/2012 16:46

YABU, it's her choice to marry who she wants, regardless of how silly you think his name is, like that is what his entire personality is based on?

Thisisaeuphemism · 27/12/2012 16:50

His name is silly. You can't get away from it. It is a silly name.

SugaricePlumFairy · 27/12/2012 16:50

Is she a woman who loves to be 'in love' and totally believes in romance and has to have a man in her life?

Good luck to them.

What does Ned do though, what is his job?, and will she be known as Kate RocknRoll in her private life I wonder Xmas Grin

VBisme · 27/12/2012 16:52

Well given that he picked his name, I expect it's indicative of his personality. I used to think she was quite down to earth until she ran off with a director of one of her films and then took up with Richard Bransons hippy nephew.

dexter73 · 27/12/2012 16:52

He sounds like an immature PITA, and she irritates the hell out of me so I think they make a great couple!

VBisme · 27/12/2012 16:53

His "job" appears to be "Richard Bransons nephew", and the name change is very look at me don't you think?

Thats a very good job for someone with such a silly name.

Northernlebkuchen · 27/12/2012 16:55

She can get married as often as she wishes but I think marrying a bloke who's changed his name from 'Abel Smith' to Ned Rocknroll is errrrrrrrrrrrr damn stupid optimistic

BalloonSlayer · 27/12/2012 16:56

According to the BBC he "works for his uncle's space flight company, Virgin Galactic."

Not smirking at all, no, not me, no sir.

Moominsarehippos · 27/12/2012 16:56

What's his name? How can I get a job as a Richard Branson vanity project?

Northernlebkuchen · 27/12/2012 16:57

and yes I do think Kate has a problem with needing to be in love as opposed to loving someone.

KatieSantaPawskitty · 27/12/2012 16:57

She's deffo up the duff.

May I suggest "Webuiltthiscityon" as a name?

MrsJREwing · 27/12/2012 16:58

I will eat my hat if they celebrate their tenth wedding anniversary.

Kate seems to be in love with the "falling in love hormones" .

Thisisaeuphemism · 27/12/2012 16:59

Nice one, Katie, but I prefer the more simple "Ilove"

KatieSantaPawskitty · 27/12/2012 17:00

Thisis Let's hope it's twins!

MrsTerrysChocolateOrange · 27/12/2012 17:00

Duncan Jones uses sensible name rather than Zowie Bowie = good sign.

Abel Smith changes name to Ned Fucking RockNRoll = bad sign.

dexter73 · 27/12/2012 17:00

She might have twins and then you could use both those brilliant names!

uptheamp · 27/12/2012 17:01

haha what a knob (allegedly)

Thisisaeuphemism · 27/12/2012 17:01

Shortened from, "Put another dime in the juke box, baby,"

SugaricePlumFairy · 27/12/2012 17:01

I wonder if she her lawyers arranged a pre-nup?

Thisisaeuphemism · 27/12/2012 17:02

A pre-nup would NOT be very rocknroll tho.

BalloonSlayer · 27/12/2012 17:02

What about "IknewtheBridewhensheusedto"
