DP has decided that prior to the mahoosive Christmas lunch I am cooking, he and DC require a full English Breakfast (which he will cook).

Quite apart from the bulging bellies and farts mess that will be created, I won't be able to get near the fecking kitchen.

Xmas Angry

Yes darling, just not in my kitchen Xmas Wink

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 24/12/2012 18:15

YANBU. I would say that is one of the better uses of sprouts, you certainly can't eat them.

BumpingFuglies · 24/12/2012 18:17

ItsAll couldn't agree more, I loathe sprouts - only cooking them for the others.

Anyone got a srout-sized pea-shooter?

Croissants, pain au chocolat & poptarts in our household. Plus chocolates of course!!!

BumpingFuglies · 24/12/2012 18:21

Is it me or did that sound rude? Confused

Iheartpasties · 24/12/2012 18:43

No, you can't have a full English brekky before chrimbo lunch! It won't fit!! Tell him no!! Bacon sarnies, yes.

BumpingFuglies · 24/12/2012 18:53

I could always hide the sausages...

Scrambled eggs and smoked salmon with Bucks Fizz in this house!

complexnumber · 24/12/2012 20:09

A sprout sized pea shooter sounds a bit 'mucky' to me

Allergictoironing · 24/12/2012 20:13

"Which he will cook" - but will he also do the bloody washing up & clearing away after?

maddening · 24/12/2012 20:20

Have mahoosive breaky at 9-10am and eat at 3ish?

maddening · 24/12/2012 20:21

Ps deal is though that dh "does" breakfast including washing and tidying up if you're doing lunch.

maddening · 24/12/2012 20:22

Ps or do it our way - df is cooking breakfast and lunch :)

Lavenderhoney · 24/12/2012 20:24

Yeah, I do that too. We dont have a Christmas lunch til about 3 though. I love the English breakfast thing:)

Forgot To get sprouts too. Only realised just now when lookin for them.

HairyGrotter · 24/12/2012 20:26

I love sprouts, lob them my way!

Salmon on Rye bread with bubbly for breakfast here (DD has pancakes)...it's just me and DD so really, it's me drinking all of then bubbly so I'm suitably merry come cooking the big meal ha

nokidshere · 24/12/2012 20:33

I love sprouts too :)

We normally go down the crosissants/bacon sarnies route here too but we don't cook on christmas day at all so having breakfast wouldn;t make a difference to us one way or the other.

SummerRainIsADistantMemory · 24/12/2012 20:34

We wont have dinner til 7/8 abd I still wouldn't want a fry up for breakfast the same day!

TheHoneyDragonsDrunkInTheIvy · 24/12/2012 20:46

Krispy Kreme Snowman Doughnuts here for breakfast - all the cholesterol and calories of a full English in a sugary hit Xmas Grin

MajesticWhine · 24/12/2012 21:35

DH has requested scrambled eggs with smoked salmon - i think not because we are having smoked salmon later for our starters, but I don't mind doing pancakes. Definitely no full English.

Smellslikecatspee · 24/12/2012 21:45

Depending where we are we either have:

Homemade pastries & Buck's Fizz (sisters)

Full Irish; like a full English but with white pudding and Buck's Fizz (Ma's )

Steak and Buck's Fizz, foe me, OH scrambled eggs and BF (other sister)

Selection box and Buck's Fizz (home)

Bacon sandwich and fizz (friends)
