DH next week as he will insist that the Christmas tree gets tinsel, lights, more tinsel and then baubles, when EVERYONE KNOWS that it's lights, tinsel then baubles.

It's terrible that I have to put up with this EVERY YEAR.

Ffs. Animals Xmas Angry

This is almost as bad as ignoring (l-r) forks, knives, spoons.

AKissIsNotAContract · 09/12/2012 10:02

cozietoesie · 09/12/2012 10:09

I put the tree up on Tuesday. DH didn't even notice. Sad

cozietoesie · 09/12/2012 10:17

Aw, Sparklingbrook !

Sad
Sparklingbrook · 09/12/2012 10:19

When it was pointed out cozie (it goes in the same place every year) he said 'I didn't even notice, is that bad?' Hmm

SecretSantaFix · 09/12/2012 10:20

not in my house!

It's always "please can we you put the tree up?"

We have to sort out the front room first though, even though we have those all in one slimline trees Grin

TraineeBabyCatcher · 09/12/2012 10:41

Prefit light- t'is the way forward.

Then tinsel then baubles.

OrangeLily · 09/12/2012 10:43

I have tinsel. I love my tinsel.Grin

InNeedOfBrandyButter · 09/12/2012 10:46

Its lights tinsel baubles here.

Only a little bit of silver tinsel, don't think a tree looks right without it tbh. And I'm 24 have never lived during the 70s.

ILiveInAPineappleCoveredInSnow · 09/12/2012 11:05

Lights, baubles, tinsel, then star!

And there is nothing wrong with my tinsel! And I also have never lived in the 70s feeling young for a change Xmas Wink

Theicingontop · 09/12/2012 11:07

Ohh tinsel Sad

OrangeLily · 09/12/2012 11:08

Oh and yes it's lights, tinsel, baubles and other bits then beautiful angel on the top

littlewhitebag · 09/12/2012 11:14

Star on first! Then lights so you can point one up through the star. After that baubles. NO tinsel ever! (I lived in 60's and 70's - old i am!)

Enfyshedd · 09/12/2012 11:45

Always lights on first - my DM drummed that into me by the time I was 10 - Lights, Tinsel/Beads, baubles. Also have to admit to having tinsel here, but I blame that on 6yo DSS - I prefer beads, but I could see him knotting them up so it would take me all evening to untangle them. I already spend half a hour following him around the tree reorganising the baubles (spot the OCD tendencies...)

InNeedOfBrandyButter · 09/12/2012 11:47

Yes tree topper goes on last.
