To have told this porkie to DH?

DH came in from his work lunch at midnight last night, pissed as a fart and spraffing all sorts of nonsense.

We have a lovely 6mo DS who refuses to sleep wakes occasionally at night. I always attend to him as I hear him first and DH takes forever to get up, by which time DS is wailing like a banshee. I could count on one hand the times he's got up to him since this sleeping nonsense started 3m ago.

This morning I told DH that amongst other drunken ramblings he'd said he'd do all the night wakenings and let me have a long lie after I come in from my own night out.

Nothing wrong with that is there? Anyone done similar?

ImperialSantaKnickers · 08/12/2012 17:55

YA SOOO NBU!

Wish I'd thought of it myself.

BluelightsAndSirens · 08/12/2012 17:56

That is called making the best of a bad situation. It is not your problem that he can't remember Grin

Wheresmycaffeinedrip · 08/12/2012 17:56

Yanbu!!!!!!

quoteunquote · 08/12/2012 18:14

It is not uncommon to prepare documents in advance,

If you hand them a scooby snack into non writing hand, when presenting for signature they tend to sign with a smile.

Toadinthehole · 08/12/2012 20:08

Ha ha. YANBU. Because what you said he'd agree to is perfectly reasonable. he's a father now, he shouldn't be going out on the turps - nor you, mind you.

OlivetheotherReindeer · 08/12/2012 20:11

YANBU, I'm going to steal your idea Xmas Wink

MammaTJ · 08/12/2012 20:39

YANBU, let us know how it works out though!! Xmas Grin

Jingleflobba · 08/12/2012 21:44

YANBU, but why didn't you go for longer?? Hope you make him stick to it Xmas Grin

FeckOffCup · 08/12/2012 21:51

YANBU but to be honest he should be offering to do that anyway without having to be conned into it, you deserve a night off and a lie in just as much as him.

laurz75 · 08/12/2012 21:55

Ha ha ha Xmas Grin - enjoy your night out - bet you still wake up first when your ds cries though! xxx

DoItRight · 08/12/2012 22:04

Shakey1500 · 08/12/2012 22:06

AgentZigzag · 08/12/2012 22:09

YANBU Grin

It was resourceful and intelligent.

Whoknowswhocares · 08/12/2012 22:37

Yabu. He should be taking his turn anyway

whois · 08/12/2012 22:46

Ha ha YANBU

NagooHoHoHo · 08/12/2012 22:50

The lie in should be yours anyway.

YANBU but good luck if he never wakes. I find an elbow to the ribs helps them to focus.

Merida · 08/12/2012 23:38

I do normaIly get the lie-in, but never a whole night in bed plus lie-in. On way home now so will see how it goes!

Yes, had to make it one night to keep it realistic that he'd have said it.

Night all!
