To have told this porkie to DH?

DH came in from his work lunch at midnight last night, pissed as a fart and spraffing all sorts of nonsense.

We have a lovely 6mo DS who refuses to sleep wakes occasionally at night. I always attend to him as I hear him first and DH takes forever to get up, by which time DS is wailing like a banshee. I could count on one hand the times he's got up to him since this sleeping nonsense started 3m ago.

This morning I told DH that amongst other drunken ramblings he'd said he'd do all the night wakenings and let me have a long lie after I come in from my own night out.

Nothing wrong with that is there? Anyone done similar?

Well, my resolve wavered as DS was crying when I got home and I could hear DH trying to settle him.

Then I went into the livingroom and saw that the tidy fairy hadn't been and there were toys and bibs everywhere, and dirty bottles in the kitchen.

I am pleased to report that DH sprang into action, so even though DS only woke up twice traitor I think I get to claim the moral victory! Now I'm off back to bed for a long lie...

Haha brilliant. I had a friend who used to whisper "you will never find anyone better" into her partners ear when she thought he was asleep. until the night he opened one eye. said " I know what you're doing you know"

Well, I would have if PILs hadn't broken in arrived at 8am, but that's a whole other AIBU right there...
