I think you're right ledkr, as annoting as txtspeak is it is very rude to dismiss someone just because of that (as tempti g as it is).

But she also did go out of her way to be totally annoying!

To be fair though ledkr, she was pretty unpleasant from the start. I mean, just read her second post - from that point she was on the attack, and brought out the worst in a lot of people.

She also didn't listen to a single piece of helpful advice, which is always a bit of a trigger on an aibu thread.

Goodness. You could be a bit more, ahem, ascerbic on MN back then. If that thread was posted now it would be 90% blue with deletions.

I haven't gotten all the way through yet, but fuck me, I wish I'd been on MN in 2010. If I'd have waited for my dp to do the childproofing or diy, my house would still look like a Changing Rooms disaster from 1995 and my kids would have no limbs from all the knives they'd have got hold of, not to mention the bleach they'd have drunk and the broken bones from falling down the stairs. Bloody hell, did she miss the whole "gender equality thing"?

It was great before they put a "report" button on every post.

In order to report you actually had to email mnhq with a specific request and a link, and no-one could be bothered.

It is just too easy for fuckwits and pos to report these days

I thought the OP in that got a bit of an unfair ganging up on in places.

She did become unpleasent in some posts (although after a poster made a comment about feeling sorry for her OH) but she got more back than she gave out.

But she did in her more reasonable posts take on board some advise and admit that she needed to be less neurotic and that she was going to get gates and move her cupboards around.

The "I'm Canadian" bit was gold though!

As for text speak, on a phone its fine, clues in the name its for texts, but on a forum with no word limit its just plain rude. And even when she did try and use proper words not abbreviations, she couldn't spell. I wonder if instead of going to Canada, the hubby buried her in the back garden and sodded off with the kids to Canada? God she was a misery.

Although loved when she got what was coming to her regarding Canadians. Bet that was a face/palm moment.

Ah this made my morning yesterday. I'm at home with a vile cold and it cheered me up no end.
