They look so snuggly in this weather, I may look stupid but AIBU to want one? Where can I get one?

Yanbu, they're great for winter, just make sure you wear a vest underneath for when you need the loo.
Oh and never ever wear it outside!

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 21/10/2012 16:20

Primark have loads , they look so snuggly I am very tempted.

MontBlanc · 21/10/2012 16:23

I don't understand them.

Are they instead of pyjamas or instead of a dressing gown just to wear around the house? If the former, isn't having a wee in the night a total faff!?

Shutupanddrive · 21/10/2012 16:24

YANBU unless you plan to wear it outside? If so then YABVVU! Grin

WandaDoff · 21/10/2012 16:25

I want one.
However I shall not be getting one as I would look like a tellytubby.

SoupDragon · 21/10/2012 16:26

Unless they have a pissflap, they are badly designed.

They are always fugly and stupid though.

VerySmallSqueak · 21/10/2012 16:27

I have a big fleecy nightie with a pouch pocket in the front.

Much more practical than a onesie, but very very lovely if you're having a lazy or poorly day.

ThreadWatcher · 21/10/2012 16:28

I have one, it is fab :)

Last year I also made ponchos for me and mine - I bought blankets from dunelm mill and used a sewing machine to sew up the sides etc - leaving openings for head, arms, legs! - much better than the commercially available tv snuggle blanket thingies - they don't cover your back!
Mine allow us to wear them AND move about/play and still stay warm :)

Tuttutitlookslikerain · 21/10/2012 16:28

I love mine, but I don't have fleecy ones I have pyjama type ones from Tesco, and because I am small NewLook teen range.

ChestyNutterStaringInTheWindow · 21/10/2012 16:28

YANBU

Lovely and snugly and warm.....but chilly when you pee though Grin

Primark have loads.

StillIRise · 21/10/2012 16:29

I hate mine. Can't get in and scratch.

Might make a poncho though.

ThreadWatcher · 21/10/2012 16:31

Never fleece in bed - too warm and not comfy

Fab for wearing in the evenings though/breakfast.
Poncho for freezing daytimes, over daytime clothes. If the doorbell rings I fling it off and ta da I'm presentable (with possible hedge hair!)

WorraLiberty · 21/10/2012 16:36

I love my onesie.

Avoid Primark though, they're paper thin.

This is a great website. I got a thick fleecy one from here.

Mine cost about £8 in the clearance sale

Pickles77 · 21/10/2012 16:40

worra amazing!
I am now the proud owner of a onesie!!
I can just imagine us all mumsnetting in our onesies!

ChablisLover · 21/10/2012 16:41

I want one too. So yanbu

But agree would need to be supersoft so no itching is required

ThreadWatcher · 21/10/2012 16:42

Worra - did you get it shipped from the US?

WorraLiberty · 21/10/2012 16:49

Yes Thread, quite speedy delivery too....about 5 days if I remember rightly.

StepAwayFromTheEcclesCakes · 21/10/2012 16:53

worra did they charge for import? I will not now be tempted by Primark Smile

ThreadWatcher · 21/10/2012 16:58

Ahhhh! So including delivery roughly how much was it?

ThreadWatcher · 21/10/2012 16:59

FWIW my tesco one (£14) is fab :)

TherapeuticVino · 21/10/2012 17:04

YANBU. If I had one I would be wearing it right now.

Binkybix · 21/10/2012 17:12

I have one and a slanket. I am a slob, but I don't let people see me in the onesie often as its not a pretty sight. Now I'm pregnant I am hoping it will accomodate me throughout as it's pretty roomy :)

Pickles77 · 21/10/2012 17:14

Oooh tesco do them too. Oh gosh I'm going to have them for everyday of the week now it's been deemed acceptable MN attire Grin

TessOfTheBurbervilles · 21/10/2012 17:24

YANBU - I have to say that, because I'm the owner of two onesies, and they're so comfortable.

theinets · 21/10/2012 17:35

Can't understand why anyone would wear one, they are so chavvy and scruffy.
