Just to lighten up recent threads.....Mike the Knight has always annoyed me; but the more I watch it the MORE it annoys me (to be clear I am not watching it on my own, or I'd turn it off)

MtK never learns from his mistakes or follows his own slogan. The vikings are just stupid foreigners and the villagers are lumpen idiots and need to be continually bossed about led by a smug incompetent pre-teen knight - in -training, who insists on continually making them applaud his latest self-aggrandising endeavour. I would be trying to make a political point here, if it weren't time for bed and thus I am too knackered to think!

And the other day they were having a sleep over and the queen was still in her gown and crown - production couldn't even be arsed to design some regal jammies.

And the theme tune is sooooo catchy. Arrgh. There are programs that I dislike but my hatred for this one just seems to grow and grow. I know IABU to bother hating a program, but does it irk anybody else?

DS likes Andy's Wild Adventure but now even he puts on a silly voice to mock the 'woo, we're in space' bit

I remember watching me too with DS1 when DS2 was a baby and in and out of hospital with FTT, hypotonia etc. When Dr Juno kept singing "it's so exciting at the hospital" i felt like shouting "no it's not".

The kid from GiMP has got annoying gravestone teeth (shoot me) but the rest is tolerable. Everything's Rosie should be renamed 'Everything's Tedious' to better represent what you see in the programme.

I love the way Dr Raj says 'you've got a bitofa cold!' in the adverts, as if they've just won the lottery. Haven't watched enough to comment much further.

I noticed the other day that I Can Cook Katie does this kooky little face scrunch every few seconds, and that's really beginning to bug me.

Tree Fu Tom's voice really annoys me, and I hate the real kid 'tree fu' sequence in the credits. I hate the whole real kid to TFT transformation in general.

Lingo is a bit weird and it annoys me they don't show the words on screen, somehow. They aren't always pronounced very clearly and it would be helpful for parents to have them there so we get the inflections right. Jargonnaise and Queso are OK but I struggle with Wei. And what's with the fucking repeats?! Let's move on to Urdu, Polish and German for a while. Know it well due to proximity to Something Special.

Woolly and Tig is cool - I love the life lessons they pick on.

Can I tell you all about a wonderful talent I have. I didn't realise I had it till recently. I can look at the telly and even pass comment with DD when prompted but I just don't see/take in what's going on. It's a beautiful thing. I will be one of those mothers in the supermarket whose children make LOADS of noise and she's seemingly unaware of it.

Disclaimer: This does not apply to Peppa Pig episodes as we watch the dvd's or youtube clips on all day long repeat or so it seems (and I don't mind it).

Surely Tree Fu Tom is somewhat redeemed by having David Tennant as the voice of Twigs? (Btw Tom is voiced by Sophie Aldred).

However I agree about Mike the Knight although cant comment on detail as I find it unwatchable. Is the Evie character a good female role model?

Have never watched a whole ep of Mike the Knight - luckily DS hates it (and grandpa in my pocket).

I bought some DVDs of Camberwick Green, Bagpuss and the Clangers. You'll never see a Miller who'd got pissed on cider or mermaids with their tits oot on Cbeebies.

That's reminded me of the alternative name for Big Cook, Little Cook- Big Cock Little Cock. That was so innuendo filled. I was up very late one night with DS, and they were on Sky 3 (i think) doing some adult comedy show, like Brainiac but with swearing. Made sense why the kids show was so shit.

Rhyme Rocket pisses me off too- not every sodding poem has to rhyme you twats. And why does it look like they are being given sly Blow Jobs when the rocket takes off? Or that's what I told DP I thought it looked like.

As for MR Tumble, I never minded him, until we went to Bestival a couple of years back and had to queue for hours to even get a look at him. I missed Example cos of it.

MtK is a brat but the theme tune is pure singalong genius! GiMP is v annoying, stop saying "not the shrinking cap grandpa" and hide the fucking thing. Not to mention the keeping massive secrets from your parents. Not a helpful message to teach kids.

I think once a 5 yr old identifies the main character as a brat it is probably time to rethink

CBeebies is admittedly awful.

But Tiny Pop is a lot, lot worse.

Not only do you get utter shite programmes that even CBeebies found too twee or crass.
You also get adverts every two fucking minutes for shite toys. Altogether now "I want that Mummy, and that Mummy, and That Mummy" (repeat until mad with the noise)

Max and ruby is awful! Smart arse older sister who is always shown the error of her ways by her non verbal baby brother.
