I am simply referring to a random sample of threads I have come across today.

OP posts:
crackcrackcrak · 15/09/2012 09:36

Any Huns or text speak?

SPsFanjoSponsoredByOrange · 15/09/2012 09:37

What have you seen?

PunkInDublic · 15/09/2012 09:39

whatcha mean hun?

flyoverthegoldenhill · 15/09/2012 09:42

leave the bastard

SharpObject · 15/09/2012 09:42

It's the mention of having a like button, happens every time someone asks about it.

That and quoting.

WofflingOn · 15/09/2012 09:43

There's a lot of textspeak, even in titles.

EverlongYouAreGoldAndOrange · 15/09/2012 09:43

Example please.

OhChristFENTON · 15/09/2012 09:44

aawwww {{hugs}}

.?:¨¨:?..?:¨¨:?..?:¨¨:?.

30 minutes since I last made a cup of tea

WofflingOn · 15/09/2012 09:45

Example?
' at wot age do u stop worrying or caring bout ur kids'

as a thread title without punctuation.

Proudnscary · 15/09/2012 09:45

Well if you mean posters minimising a husband pestering an OP for sex at 5.30am every morning and being met with 'he just wants some morning action/OMG do we need a written contract now for sex? LOL' then

Nagoo · 15/09/2012 09:49

I did notice the textspeak but I thought she was a bit :( to go offering her an apostrophe.

Nagoo · 15/09/2012 09:50

fenton I have bunting envy.

akaemmafrost · 15/09/2012 09:50

No not on the threads I've been a lot. Massive amount of po faced judginess on the usual subjects Grin!

Proudnscary · 15/09/2012 09:51

Textspeak has no place on Mumsnet

But I'm not sure how I feel about picking an OP up on grammar or textspeak though. I've done it when the OP is a wanker in general. But it's pretty low otherwise.

PunkInDublic · 15/09/2012 09:51

Is quoting bad form SharpObject? I usually quote if I'm answering a post that isn't from the OP. I always just thought it helped the thread flow and if it's a long thread someone reading first and last pages might have more of a chance.

Proudnscary · 15/09/2012 09:52

Emma - what would MN be without po faced judginess??!

EverlongYouAreGoldAndOrange · 15/09/2012 09:53

Get you.

Yes a thread title with !!!!!!! made me Hmm

akaemmafrost · 15/09/2012 09:55

Oh I love po faced judginess on here. It keeps things interesting.

MyNeighbourIsStrange · 15/09/2012 09:55

It is the weekend, are the spelling police on duty today?

X number of days to xmas.
X number of days to my birthday.
X stones and X pounds untill I reach my goal weight.

akaemmafrost · 15/09/2012 09:56

Actually I've just read a lovely supportive post from someone who ended with "hun x". It shouldn't but it makes you disregard all that went before.

MrsSchadenfreude · 15/09/2012 09:59

r u ok hun?

2girls2dogs · 15/09/2012 10:02

did someone say cuntworms?

PavlovtheCat · 15/09/2012 10:04

PavlovtheCat · 15/09/2012 10:05
