Alcohol at DC's daytime birthday party?

Not a piss up - just a few sociable drinks (will provide beer/wine and know some friends plan to bring a bottle anyway!)

  1. Flat out no
  1. Yes a couple didn't do anyone any harm
  1. An absolute must Wink (for parents Grin and friends without kids who probably would rather not be there!)

2 or 3.
1 seems a bit of a kiiljoy. Ok for grownups to enjoy a couple of glasses if like me you don't get out much!

2 or 3! Friends would be disappointed if we didn't have wine at the kids parties!

It depends where the party is.
Local school hall - 1
Your home/garden - 2

OrpheusDescending · 07/09/2012 19:04

Family/our friends - 1/3 (depending on the ratio of family: our friends
DCs friends' parents: 2

2 or 3 (probably 3) I told my DP about this question he is Swedish and was shocked by the idea. Parties will be fun with my british/australian/dutch friends on one side of the room enjoy some vino and his slightly uptight swedish family on the other side of the room doing cat's bums faces.

1 I'm afraid. I have never attended a child's party where there has been alcohol and I've never served alcohol at one of my DC's party, the idea hasn't ever occurred to me.
