You are joking Shock

AgentZigzag · 06/09/2012 18:07

Any chance of making a buck eh? Grin Grin

I think the 'first day back at school' is the worst one though, was it in sombre colours with a newspaper photo sad faced child on the front?

Or maybe OTT happy parents shoving their darling children out the door?

Grin

I was very happy that ASD DS went for his first day back at school with no trouble.

So impressed in fact that I bought him.... An ice cream.

If I'd have handed him a card I think he would have eaten it too and it wouldn't have tasted as nice.

Bit odd.

www.funkypigeon.com/Pages/Main.aspx?type=card&majcat=37&mincat=134&mincatpid=&country=UK&PageNumber=1

Loads there too. Never seen them before. A quick google and they're eveywhere!

FutTheShuckUp · 06/09/2012 18:16

Im thinking of designing a 'congratulation on your first dump on the potty' card- with a dancing poo standing up in the potty next to a wildly clapping parent and grinning child- maybe a musical card with a toilet flush sound too?

I think it's sounds sweet, we don't address emotional situations enough, a card can't hurt for encouragement.

an ice cream probably tastes nicer though Grin when mine went to primary 1 they were in half days I took them out for a milkshake after school a card though is a bit much and a 4/5 yr old won't reall 'get' a card will they

A big cuddle and a run round the park was as far as we stretched. And I thought that was soft.

TheMonster · 06/09/2012 18:24

As a teacher, I think I deserve to get one! The first day back was pretty stressful.

WilsonFrickett · 06/09/2012 18:25

OK Eeyore, you can have a cuddle and a run round the park too Wink

Mrsjay · 06/09/2012 18:26

Well I sort of see your point, but actually for DC1, grandparents who are abroad sent one as they weren't here and couldn't call because of the time difference and I thought we'd be rushing to get there in time . Doting? Yes. But it's a big landmark in their lives and it was really special to open a card with personal message from them.
