It looks like someone has a Pince nez on and is scrutinizing.

I also suggest fewer threads would go tits up if people had to read them properly LOOKING for their name.

No one has said that YABU though.

You so are though, totes.

It's rude? To get someone attention? Not really. It's more like tapping you on the shoulder to make sure you hear me!

TalcAndTurnips · 02/09/2012 16:54

I have never considered it to be rude! Shock

Just a way of alerting a poster to the fact that you're responding to them, surely?

Mind you, I don't get involved in Bun Fracas. I prefer to roll up after it's all over - when all the body parts have been bagged and labelled - to nose through the detritus for any spare change.

BonnyDay · 02/09/2012 16:55

It's lazy. Read the thread you fuckerz. ;)

honeydragon · 02/09/2012 16:56

Out of respect to you Bonny I won't bold your name

Hope this is better Bonny

Are italics acceptable?

TheGoldenKnid · 02/09/2012 16:57

YABU, BonnyDay.

OnlyNiceSwearing · 02/09/2012 16:57

I actually thought it was polite when you are answering someone or acknowledging when they have said something to you. That and the fact that I am rubbish at using any other special mumsnetting typing thingies. Each to their own though!

OI BONNYDAY YOU IGNORANT FUCKER.

Now that would be a rude way of getting your attention.

WinkGrin

SHOUTING IN BOLD, height of rudeness.

InkyBinky · 02/09/2012 16:58

Or is CAPITALS the way to go. This is too confusing for me.

BonnyDay · 02/09/2012 16:59

I don't need bolding.

I can read.

OP posts:
honeydragon · 02/09/2012 16:59

I DON'T THINK BOLDING IS RUDE AT ALL BUT I DO FIND SHOUTING ALL THE TIME IN EVERY POST SOMEWHAT ANNOYING

BonnyDay · 02/09/2012 16:59

Even ones where you are the OP? When someone is responding directly to you?

Tee2072 · 02/09/2012 17:00

YES, SHOUTING IS INCREDIBLY ANNOYING I NEVER DO IT!

BONNY I PROMISE TO NEVER BOLD YOUR NAME AGAIN.

BTW, ARE YOU NEW? I DON'T RECOGNIZE YOUR NAME AND DON'T THINK I EVER HAVE BOLDED YOU BECAUSE I DON'T THINK I'VE EVER SPOKEN TO YOU.

GobblersKnob · 02/09/2012 17:00

Shock, it's not lazy, it involves using extra keys and everything Grin

TheCunningStunt · 02/09/2012 17:00

bolding is the only way to go...I am a lazy fucker and I don't care

FalseStartered · 02/09/2012 17:01

arf @ bonny

TheCunningStunt · 02/09/2012 17:02

Actually it is the opposite of lazy on an iPad...I need to press two extra keys on my keyboard just to access it, then back to qwerty to write what I want bolder then the other two keys again to access the keyboard the asterisk is on...
You know what is unreasonable.??? People who call an asterisk and asterix

OnlyNiceSwearing · 02/09/2012 17:03

Oh tasty! >
