To think this cherub was sexually harassed?

Another Celebrity Big Brother one sorry but this has been plaguing me for days.

During the "gods" task the gods had cherubs to serve them, models male and female in tiny pants. Julie Goodyear cud chewing hag said "can I touch the cherubs?" she then proceeded to stroke the mans bottom, inner thigh and close to his balls. She then made him peel and hold a banana to his crotch while she simulated oral sex.

He looked clearly uncomfortable, his role was to serve and not speak, he was live on television with a group of celebrities, doing his "job" and I feel in a very weak position while someone in a position of power abused that.

I might be BU but in RL if a female was fondled in such a way in a setting that made it very difficult for her to object that would be harassment in the workplace yes?

Again I might be BU but this has left me a bit sickened and angry.

she then proceeded to stroke the mans bottom,

Which man?

Softlysoftly · 01/09/2012 22:22

Sorry that was unclear it was one of the serving cherubs!

Didn't watch it - was it another BB inmate - or some model bloke paid exorbitantly to put up with the pensioners inane warblings?

He'd be paid for it. Bit like Hugh Heffners house mates you know what you sign up for.

WorraLiberty · 01/09/2012 22:28

My DH said exactly the same thing Shock

He said that if a 70 year old man lay there groping the arse of a young woman who was only there to serve them food and drink anyway (so not paid to be groped), there would be uproar and quite rightly too.

Softlysoftly · 01/09/2012 22:29

Do you think? I actually really hope you are right because if he was paid just to model that's wrong. I am clearly too naive to the depths people will stoop to then!

PedanticPanda · 01/09/2012 22:35

I think you're right op, it would be different if it was a woman being groped, that must have been humiliating for him.

WorraLiberty · 01/09/2012 22:35

They were paid to serve food and drink that's all.

PedanticPanda · 01/09/2012 22:36

Would BB be allowed to present the cherubs with a contract saying they would only be paid if they completed the job, so if he left before the task was finished he wouldn't be paid?

Softlysoftly · 01/09/2012 22:40

I don't know but I honestly feel so strongly about this I want to do something, track him down and tell him to sue the fuckers. I've been in that position of weakness at work with a boss taking advantage and I felt so grimy afterwards, I did eventually contact the police. It's just not right.

WorraLiberty · 01/09/2012 22:41

Maybe but I think being groped would have made that void anyway?

He might not have minded or he might have just cringed and let her carry on...but either way it's wrong and pervy imo.

WorraLiberty · 01/09/2012 22:41

My post was a reply to Panda

But I agree with you OP. He shouldn't have had to put up with that.

wherearemyGOLDsocks · 01/09/2012 22:54

It was very uncomfortable to watch.

And for god's sake woman STOP CHEWING Please

NCForNow · 01/09/2012 23:14

He agreed to go on that shite.

WorraLiberty · 01/09/2012 23:21

What does that have to do with it NC?

Are you saying that if someone takes a job then they should put up with sexual harassment just because in your eyes, the job is shite?

PedanticPanda · 01/09/2012 23:22

Are you implying that he deserved to be sexually harassed for applying to BB NCfornow? Or have I read your reply wrong?

Softlysoftly · 01/09/2012 23:25

He got paid to do a modelling/serving job, I'd think television work isn't something you can be overly picky about in the profession financially and profile wise. He wasn't a contestant.

I agree parading round in pants isn't the greatest of moral jobs but saying that choosing to do it on BB means you are open for any kind of mistreatment is very very wrong.

They were paid to serve food and drink that's all.

I havent seen it - but none of us know what the contract of employment is/was.

Again, not seen it, know what Julie Goodyear is like, shes the female equivalent of a geriatric letch. It won't have been a pretty sight

WorraLiberty · 01/09/2012 23:30

I think it's safe to say the contract of employment didn't involve anything sexual.

BB announced that the cherubs were there to wait on them. They didn't say they were there to have their arses groped.

CuriousMama · 01/09/2012 23:33

I didn't see it but agree, sounds very wrong.

LineRunner · 01/09/2012 23:52

Oh Lord, Worra. I may vomit. Had to turn it off.

WorraLiberty · 02/09/2012 00:02

I wouldn't mind but the female cherubs were wearing really skimpy bottoms and the men managed to keep their hands off of them......

EllenParsons · 02/09/2012 01:42

Ugh, YANBU, I don't know why I just watched the clip but I feel a bit sickened now.

ApocalypseCheeseToastie · 02/09/2012 01:56

Jesus christ, that poor boy will be scarred for life Shock

And is it just be or does she look like Jimmy Saville ??!

shesariver · 02/09/2012 02:03

I just couldnt help myself clicking on that, oh god I should have resisted!!!!!!!
