RuleBritannia · 28/08/2012 13:22

Any point to this thread?

loopylou6 · 28/08/2012 13:23

Ok...

CockyPants · 28/08/2012 13:27

They probably do hate me, as I carry more weight, am prematurely grey, and do not posess a (t)it bag!
However my DD is not dead behind the eyes, unlike their little Lambrinis...

Have you ever stopped to wonder whether it's not them, but you? Just a thought.

MainlyMaynie · 28/08/2012 13:30

I can't imagine why you have difficulty making friends.

Pagwatch · 28/08/2012 13:31

CockyPants · 28/08/2012 13:33

Well I guess that's told me!
So, no one here has ever been ignored just because they are a bit different?

OP posts:
Pagwatch · 28/08/2012 13:34

Post....

Oh

katielou2012 · 28/08/2012 13:35

Maybe they're ignoring you because your so god damn rude Hmm

Jackin · 28/08/2012 13:36

This is a bit silly

pictish · 28/08/2012 13:36

I'm 'different'. I'm 'alternative'.
No-one pointedly ignores me, and it's not a problem I've ever had regarding the playground.
But then, I don't consider other people's children as being dead behind the eyes.

Maybe it's your attitude that works against you?

puds11 · 28/08/2012 13:36

Yeah i have been ignored for not being in the clique, but i took the mature route and got over it!

emsyj · 28/08/2012 13:36

There are a hundred reasons why a person might be ignored. The chances that large groups of people would actively dislike a person they don't know just because they're a bit fat and grey seem small to me. I've been fat and I've been thin - I tend to find people's responses to me are positive when my own output is positive. Have you ever tried smiling and approaching them in a friendly way and introducing yourself?

schobe · 28/08/2012 13:37

Yes, I have tremendous trouble fitting in, but have always assumed the main problem lies with me. I work hard not to ruffle feathers but to keep my individuality, but don't always succeed and never feel comfortable at the school gate or similar.

Calling their daughters 'dead behind the eyes' is particularly hateful and just comes across as bitter tbh.
