I'm always really bemused by these threads.

I honestly never gave the tiniest shit about what other people were doing in the playground.

Pagwatch · 28/08/2012 13:37

Ah op

That is a different question.

When ds2 was small he looked really badly behaved and I found it difficult to approach other mums at ds1s school because I felt embarrassed. But actually most of them were fine.

The ances f every other mother/parent at your school being snotty for no other reason than your looks seems unlikely.

Are you sure that the dreadfull judgements and sneering you feel about them isn't more of an issue?

loopylou6 · 28/08/2012 13:37

Most of the others are probably carrying extra weight. Dye your hair and practice a friendly smile?

alisonsmum · 28/08/2012 13:38

who is muthas? i dont get it

FushiaFernica · 28/08/2012 13:39

I am hoping OP that you were just being funny with your bold typing. I must admit not keen on school gate stuff myself.

pictish · 28/08/2012 13:41

The school gate politics feature so little in my life, I can't imagine ever finding the bile in me for this level of bitterness.

OP - this issue is most certainly about your feelings about yourself, than it is about them.

Your dd is not superior, and no-one gives a fuck about your hair. Truly.

WorraLiberty · 28/08/2012 13:41

However my DD is not dead behind the eyes, unlike their little Lambrinis...

You get more charming with every post.

Are you sure it's because you're a 'little bit different' that these people ignore you?

Seriously, for everyone's sake I'd just drop and run if I were you.

LynetteScavo · 28/08/2012 13:48

Some of the most popular mums at school's my DC have been to are overweight, grey and badly dressed.

They are popular because they are smiley, friendly to other parents and always seem to know the gossip about what is going on in the school.

Tee2072 · 28/08/2012 13:50

I stopped worrying about not being 'one of the cool kids' about 25 years ago when I graduated high school.

You should try it.
