What is it about this total brain rot that my dd's are so addicted to?

They play outside loads and are sociable etc but every chance they get to sit in front of the tv this utter shite is turned on and it's like they get hypnotised by it.

It's utter shit!

I can't think of any other kids show I have ever watched in my life that gets this reaction from me!

Tv time is pretty limited to lazy weekend mornings and winding down time at night but as soon as they get the change this rubbish is on and once again they sit like zombies mouth wide opened and ignoring everything else going on around them.

Aibu to totally ban this one show (don't want to ban tv all together) or lighten up and realise young girls like this kind of stuff?

Barr humbug, its all those single parents where the kids want their parents want to look glam and have a date for the first time in years. I think its lovely bless them.

I have actually banned dds from watching icarly, victorious and all the other crap on nickolodian. The way they speak to adults and to each other is so disrespectful. They are just all really mouthy and rude (not to mention shrill and annoying). I let them watch jessie, GLC etc as they are not half as bad.

I hate iCarly. Her voice grates on me, and she doesn't ever move her shoulders. I can't stand the show, luckily my DDs don't watch it any more.

What's that one with the twins on an island? Pair of kings maybe? Drives me crazy. And the one that had the ginger twins and skateboards in it? I try to block them out.

I don't mind iCarly, although we are trying to divert the DDs towards things like Storage Wars instead, but we have told them they must record Fred and only watch it on weekend mornings when DH and I are still in bed, with the volume at whisper level.

Can't say I've ever noticed any Carly type behaviour, but then DH and I are Victorian quite strict parents.

My DD tries to watch all that crap, but I spoil it by coming in and saying 'what's this American shit on the TV for???' and making her switch over....
