who can not for the life of me figure out how to work a fucking i pod?

I have one, and can play music on it, but it's all the other stuff that I'm stuck on. Podcasts, what are they about? Apps? Are they just for i-phones, or are they for ipods too? I believe some people can search the internet on their ipods - can I? How?

I've had one for five years with the same fifty songs stuck on it which dh uploaded. I have no clue how to get them off or add new ones. I am scared of it

Oh adviseme I've done that several times, bought music and lost if from laptop to ipod, don't know where it goes.

i can see it on the lappy, and play it on the lappy.

YANBU - at all. It's a complete mystery to me. The iTunes on my computer is a mystery to me. The store, the library, syncing (what? What???), podcasts - all a mystery. The more I look at it the more upset I get until I throw a toddler tantrum and get my son to do it all for me. And then I never play it because none of it makes sense on the iPod/phone/stupid piece of shiney shite!

Go into ITunes on the lappy, you can search for the album in there, or scroll through the album list.
Anyone else wanting user info for iPods? Not an expert but willing to help out, I'm on mine typing this.

I'm pretty tech savvy. I can code a website. I am an advanced user of adobe CS software. Computers and software in general are familiar territory to me. BUT, iTunes constantly trips me up and often leaves me baffled.

I think iTunes is counter-intuitive. I suspect the way in which they've had to set the security to restrict sharing is behind this. Gah.

You need to synch your iPod and laptop.
When they are synced iTunes will download onto the iPod any music that is not already on the iPod, it will also back up your ipod

oh, and does it matter if you are the only one who uses i tunes on the laptop? me and oh have seperate i tunes accounts, but use the same lappy.

Don't have mobile either, they make my brian melt.

The white USB charging cable plug it into the iPod and lappy, on the lappy access iTunes, it should automatically synch.
I'm booting up my computer so I can lead you through it if it doesn't, I've not done it for a while so I can't remember which menu to use if it doesn't do it

Different iTunes accounts on same lappy shouldn't be a problem, it should recognise your iPod and link with your iTunes account

Have you got everything plugged in? If so on the left handside of iTunes it (blue coloumn)should say that it is connected to your device

It is REALLY puzzling how Apple - APPLE, FFS - were able to make something so bad. Maybe there is some cunning profit-related reason. Teen is probably your best hope. Even software developer DP has trouble with iTunes.
