I can't think of any at the mo, but I'm sure I've seen similar. I feel your pain.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 18/08/2012 21:10

Oh, I loved the peanut biscuits that may contain nuts

the car-windscreen cover (for winter) that adviced drivers not to attempt to drive with the cover in place

Debeez · 18/08/2012 21:13

Some clothes - Do not iron while wearing.

I suppose if they didn't someone would sue.

WMittens · 18/08/2012 21:13

'Contains nuts' - on a packet of peanuts.

BlackholesAndRevelations · 18/08/2012 21:13

My favourite is a bag of peanuts that says may contain nuts. I should bloody hope so!

BlackholesAndRevelations · 18/08/2012 21:14

Snap!

VivaLeBeaver · 18/08/2012 21:15

Contains fish, on a pack of crab sticks. Ok, maybe crabs aren't fish but they're fishy.

BlackOutTheSun · 18/08/2012 21:15

Ah but peanuts are not nuts Grin

bogeyface · 18/08/2012 21:16

The trouble is that these days a lawyer would spot a loophole and take a company to court for not having a warning that said "Do not use this knife to trim toenails" or similar. Sad but true Hmm

Its not to prevent accidents (frankly I think natural selection should be allowed to works its magic!), but to prevent costly court cases by compensation vultures.

Shesparkles · 18/08/2012 21:17

I bought salmon fillets from marks and sparks and on the label was printed "contains fish". I bloody hope so with what they charged!

bogeyface · 18/08/2012 21:17

"This packet may contains legumes" "Oh thats alright, I am only allergic to peanuts...."

It would happen! But the pedant in me does get pissed off at that wording :o

bogeyface · 18/08/2012 21:18

She it should have said "contains sewage", it would have been far more accurate Wink :o

peanutMD · 18/08/2012 21:19

Why thank you blackout, although others may disagree :o

I like the fact that you should not under any circumstances use DS' paddling pool as a floatation device :o

AdoraBell · 18/08/2012 21:19

They have to make it idiot proof to avoid expensive law suits when one puts a cup of fresh between one's thighs to drive and gets burnt when it spills. Or if one's beloved pet is wet and you nuke it put it in the microwave to dry it.

Some people would, and have, sued because it never said don't do X on the packet, it's your fault

HoopDePoop · 18/08/2012 21:27

Those paddling pool stickers make me really want to take one to the beach to see what would happen if I used it as a lilo Grin

Softlysoftly · 18/08/2012 21:30

A soapstone statue with "not edible".

No shit.

Svrider · 18/08/2012 21:34

I got some oranges from tesco
I'm delighted to tell you the label said "for eating or juicing"
Good job, cos I wasn't sure what to do with them Confused

Kladdkaka · 18/08/2012 21:34

Aparantly there was one on a superman costume which said 'WARNING! Wearing of this garment does not enable you to fly'. :o

princesssugar · 18/08/2012 21:34

An American superman costume with the words "warning to parents: this costume does not enable your child to fly."

Damn it! Why else would I buy a superman costume?

Also a child's bath seat with " not to be used in water" on the bottom
