Remember that awesome mascot in Germany (I think it was the world championships?) Dancing and celebrating with the winners (quickly, not 10 mins later) and dancing to entertain crowds between events?

Maybe it's just not been shown on TV but I enjoy watching daft mascot antics! I have two seeming hiding out back seems pretty lame given the amount of shit merch they sold pre-games.

There are about a million statues of them all over London, mostly surrounded by tourists getting a photo with them.

The one-eyed oddities are all over the South Bank. I am quite glad they are not featuring much.

I saw one of them (don't know which one's which) dancing about in the background while the women's 800m semis were taking place. Apart from after Bolt's race, it's the first time I've noticed it.

Wenlock is in the stadium all the time - keep your eyes peeled and he's at the side cheering on the athletes (great deal of fuss in my house when my wee guy spots him on the screen).
