Giving dh the grotty mug...

or the plate that didn't quite come out clean from the dishwasher, or the end piece of cake that's a bit dry. Because I was annoyed at him?

It's just occurred to me that I do this a lot as a means of irritation control in an otherwise happy marriage, he probably does it too. Does everyone do it? I don't know if this is normal behaviour Hmm

ewwww why would you give someone a dirty mug that is vile

firawla · 23/07/2012 23:03

I don't do it, never really heard of people doing this tbh. It might be just you!!

Ambrosius · 23/07/2012 23:04

I do this a bit Blush

GrandmasRedCar · 23/07/2012 23:07

Ambrosius you have saved me, I was all but ready to admit my flawed character in MN public. Phew ;-)

If I drop one of the steaks on the floor, I am hardly going to give it to myself... am I? Blush

:o

Alliwantisaroomsomewhere · 23/07/2012 23:12

I would rinse the steak off, but still give it to DH. He would not notice. I would.

YANBU.

LaurieFairyCake · 23/07/2012 23:13

Nope, I get the dry cake, the smaller bit of food etc.

If you saw the size of my arse you'd understand.

If he's pissed me off, its no cake and he can get his smegging own! No passive aggressive shoite in this hoose.

GrandmasRedCar · 23/07/2012 23:13

Not dirty McHappyPants just grotty, like tea stains.

laudinum · 23/07/2012 23:14

yanbu

horrible bil gets the grotty mug plus the skanky bit of sugar.

GrandmasRedCar · 23/07/2012 23:15

Is it passive aggressive or just cowardly secretive aggressive? Grin

Yabu. It's mean and sly behaviour and I would take a very dim view of someone who did this to me. It's like cheating at a board game.

Someone on MN once said that they hide their DHs fave t shirt when they're annoyed at him...this is similar and unheathy. Why not jus talk to him about the problems?

FadingAwayToAHippo · 24/07/2012 00:11

My SIL crumples the back of her DHs shirt he leaves out for work or slowly unpicks a button, knowing it would annoy him all day if it came off!

I just tell DP he's being an arse if he's annoying me and hog the remote!

theoldtrout01876 · 24/07/2012 00:25

My friend use to clean the toilet with her H toothbrush :o

minimisschief · 24/07/2012 00:39

that one with the toothbrush is not close to funny

wow. No, never. I always give DH, whoever I'm making tea etc for the nicest piece. Then again I'm a bit of a pushover....

blackcurrants · 24/07/2012 00:54

Incidentally, you get tea stains out of a mug with a generous shake of bicarbonate of soda and a swipe with a damp washing up brush.

Apologies for the tangent, there.

maytheoddsbeeverinyourfavour · 24/07/2012 01:27

My DH does it to himself, I always get first pick of everything and he has what's left Grin

It is especially good for things like bacon sandwiches where I get all the lovely middle bits and he has the scraggy end bits Grin

He even let's me have all the red and black wine gums because I won't eat the green or yellow ones Blush

AdoraBell · 24/07/2012 01:34

No, if he's pissed me off that much and won't fucking listen he gets no cake, tea or steak.

Why are my posts appearing twice tonightConfused sorry.

maytheoddsbeeverinyourfavour · 24/07/2012 01:40

adora it's your husband, he's messed up your phone and/or laptop so it posts twice. Don't give the bastard any cake

fortifiedwithtea · 24/07/2012 02:29

It's normal apart from the mallice behind it. My Mum always gave my Dad the not so nice food and they were happily married for 49 years until he passed away not from dodgey food.

In my marriage its usually me that gets something abit shit. But then I don't do most of the cooking. Blush
