Giving dh the grotty mug...

or the plate that didn't quite come out clean from the dishwasher, or the end piece of cake that's a bit dry. Because I was annoyed at him?

It's just occurred to me that I do this a lot as a means of irritation control in an otherwise happy marriage, he probably does it too. Does everyone do it? I don't know if this is normal behaviour Hmm

No way! My DP is seriously picky about dirty plates, cutlery, glasses etc and he woudl defo notice if I did that! In fact, I woudl rather use the plate with a little bit of harmless dried on food than bother giving it to him.

Your post made me laugh Laurie Grin

I don't really do it with DH but I do enjoy using the coffee spoon to stir my mil's tea (she reckons she can taste it but she never does!) Sometimes I only use one teabag to make 2 cups of tea - well they like it weak! Oh and they are funny about what they eat. Red meat is definitely out (except sausages) so I once cooked the sausages in the burger juice at a rained off bbq. They loved them! (BTW this is a picky thing not a real veggie thing) It is these small things that prevent me exploding with them!!

I think I must be a bit naive because I am quite shocked at most of these suggestions :o Maybe I'm too much a of a people pleaser, I'd always take the grotty mug or less appealing serving of food rather than give it to anyone else. Anything that's been on the floor goes in the bin.

The toothbrush/loo cleaning thing is fucking vile though.

anniewoo · 24/07/2012 10:33

I give dh the best bit of meat etc -he works hard ( so do i - but part time). Mind you i hide the biscuits, crisps etc Wink Well he is overweight. I'd always give him clean mug etc

I give DH the egg that has the nasty red threads attached to the yolk... in my defence, I've asked him before and he says he doesn't mind those.

DancesWithSockPuppets · 24/07/2012 10:50

Oh, and I do tend to give DH the nicest bits of food generally out of misguided pride - wanting to look like a better cook than I am.

When I'm pissed off I tell him...talk it out...I don't do sly things to him.
