Hubby took our 11 month old son out today for a haircut. He said my son would look unique but I was busy at the time and really did not take this comment on board-more fool me. Anyway my son has just returned sporting a MOHICAN! I am not joking-he literally has a stripe of hair down his head like a skunk. My husband thinks it is hilarious but I am a bit annoyed. Should I just get in on the joke?

Oh dear god

YANBU at all

Lucyellensmum99 · 19/07/2012 16:26

No - make him take him to the hair dresser to sort it out, he will look like a mini thug Confused Mohicans only good on ageing punks . He won't look unique he will look like the many other chav babies sporting mohicans! what was he THINKING???

sugarice · 19/07/2012 16:26

When he's asleep tonight give your husband a surprise "unique" haircut and see if he is laughing in the morning Wink

Olympia2012 · 19/07/2012 16:26

Well that's what you get for having a 'hubby' !

Lucyellensmum99 · 19/07/2012 16:28

Oh, and what Olympia said

It will grow. What I don't like are the unique designs shaved into small children's hair. I don't like it in older children either, but at least they've had some input or choice.

LaurieFairyCake · 19/07/2012 16:29

I'm afraid that would really piss me off - but that would be because I wouldn't like to look as if I was from Shameless.

There's no amount of Boden frock that would make up for wandering about with a Mohican baby Grin

startwig1982 · 19/07/2012 16:29

I would be livid if my DH did this! Tell him to get it sorted pronto!

Lucyellensmum99 · 19/07/2012 16:30

I'd get that post deleted if i were you turbo

sugarice · 19/07/2012 16:31

How did he keep an 11 month old still long enough to do the mohican?

Actually slightly jealous that your son had enough hair at 11 months to have a haircut. My DD doesn't at 2.4yo.

YANBU about the Mohican though, why do babies need to look unique anyway? They're gorgeous as they are.

ScrambledSmegs · 19/07/2012 16:35

Oh dear. You should probably ask to get that comment deleted.

AliceHurled · 19/07/2012 16:36

If you don't mean to be racist, try not being racist. Works for me. Hmm

RubyFakeNails · 19/07/2012 16:37

I quite like them Blush My Ds doesn't have the sort of hair that you can do this with.

We call it the militant afro, it will not do anything, he has to have it all off.

Am slightly jealous.

he looks like Travis Bickle in Taxi Driver when he starts to lose the plot.

YANBU, I wouldn't find it that funny and be slightly embarrassed.

KenLeeeeeee · 19/07/2012 17:16

YADNBU. I would be furious and more than tempted to shave off his eyebrows or similar and see how hilarious he thinks that is.

TheMonster · 19/07/2012 17:23

YANBU.

TantrumsAndBalloons · 19/07/2012 17:29

My ds1 has a Mohican

It's fucking horrible.

But he is 13 and pays for it out of his own money every 3 weeks and it looks cool

TantrumsAndBalloons · 19/07/2012 17:29

He says it looks cool not me
