TO BE SICK TO DEATH WITH LITTLEWOODS AND YODEL

SORRY FOR SHOUTING BUT!!!!!

In April we ordered a corner sofa and chair from Littlewoods. Delivery was scheduled for 8 weeks.

THe call from Yodel came sooner than we expected, Wedensday 4th July, for delivery on Friday morning.

I swiftly put our old sofa on freecycle and it was picked up thursday afternoon.

thursday at 6 get a phone call from yodel that its not coming as they had recieved sofa (although tracking had said thay had actually had it 2 weeks by then)

I was not happy and told them that. They didnt know when i would reicve it.

we had no furniture.

Friday morning Dh was at home. The chair arrived. Lucky he was in.

Finally they arranged on the monday to deliver sofa on the wednesday.

Well it arrived, without the corner, and broken.

I phoned Littlewoods, where a operayor told me that maybe it didnt come with the corner, maybe you had to buy that bit seperatly!!!!!!

I asked to speak to a manager, who agreed it did come with the corner, but all she could do was re order the whole set and arrange collection of the faulty set.

New order would take another 8 weeks and I musnt use the faulty set as it had to come back in condition it arrived!

At which point I lost it and cancelled the order completly

it gets worse.

I wait for collection date. and monday was told it would be collected tuesday.

I had over the weekend sourced another sofa and chair who when i told the new company what had happened said would get it to me as in 48 hours of confirmatiom.

Continued.

On confirmation of pick up, confirmed with new company.

guess what yodel didnt pick up yesterday.

After phoning them today, to be put on hold, told they would phone back, put through to an escalation team, who promised would sort it and phone me.

The earliest they now say they can pick up is possibly next monday.

Meanwhile I cant cancel new stuff as will have to pay a second delivery charge.

So today I now cannot get into my only reception room as there is two sets of furniture in there.

Oh and I have family arriving at the weekend.

I have been in tears, mainly of anger and frustration.

Yodel are a bunch of wankers. I feel your pain.

I was reduced to tears by their total inefficiecy and that was over a pair of shoes. The wbite, everything is designed to make lifeas hard as possible.

I hate that green card and "Just Yodel". Dh and I call them the yodelling twats

This is a 6 seater corner sofa and a huge chair, im sat here in the kitchen cos i cant get in the lounge.

YODEL!

For them is a special circle of hell reserved for murderers and people who talk at the cinema.

Public shaming is your friend. Complain about them Via Facebook (tag them), Twitter (Ditto), the press, watchdog. Document everything. Take photos of your sad children unable to play in the front room in front of your sofa collection.

Make sure you tag Littlewoods and Yodel. You'll be surprised how well things like FB and Twitter work in the consumer's favor.

Yodel are utter wankers. They turned up late to deliver our new mattress, by which point I'd already left as I needed to get to work. The delivery guy then phoned me, and was totally rude to me. I then phoned their customer services to arrange redelivery, to be told that the driver had set the status to "refused at door" so they couldn't redeliver!
I just phoned the bed shop and said it was their problem to sort out or I would cancel the whole order. They were very good actually - well done Dreams.

I came on to add my rage as I've waited in all day because of a 10 HOUR time slot and it's now not coming after all. Cheeky buggers have even taken a photo of the front of my house (an hour late) as "proof" of a delivery attempt Hmm The photo does not include the driver standing at my front door so how it proves that I don't know...

Anyway your scenario is far worse and I sympathise. I'm raging over a box of Lego, I'd be going beserk in your situation.

The collection date has nothing to do with yodel, I could sort you a collection date with them for tomorrow!

But Yodel are utter wankers. The amount of our products they've 'lost' is disgusting. They'll only insure us up to the cost of £100, the stuff we send is sometimes in its thousands.

Ultimately it is the responsibility of the retailer to get an item to you. If they choose a shit courier service like Yodel, then they should actually dig you out of the shit, and ensure you get delivery...but they never do.

WHY with the growth of internet shopping dowe have to put up with with shite like this I do not know. Is it really that hard to deliver when someone is available considering most of the population do not spend an entire day holed up waiting for wankers like Yodel to deign to turn up?

Littlewoods have been trying to get a collection off them for tomorrow, but are getting the same run around. The Littlewoods advisor was cut of four times from them!

Oooh, have just reread this thread. Littlewoods should pay you some compensation for the hassle they caused. They have left you without seating for 8 weeks. That is a biiig problem.

Littlewoods are bastards - my parcel had been squished resulting in a free gift of fake tab ruining my watch and getting all over my hand.

Did they care did they fuck. When I asked if they would be taking but up with Yod she said no, all they could do was note if on the system. They don't give a toss about their customers do pay an equally tosspot courier company to fuck people over even more.

Honey - in all fairness they probably have given up taking things up with yodel as it doesn't get them anywhere. BUT I do hope they sent you a swift replacement, and then claimed the money back off YODEL.

yodel is no good for small part delivering.

Yodel are HORRIFIC.

I was going to wedding one weekend, and had ordered my whole outfit accessories from Very.co.uk to come the Thursday before, as I'm a disorganised twat and had changed outfits three times. Ahem. I booked a 7am - 12pm delivery time as I knew I'd be out that afternoon and most of the Friday after.

I waited.

And waited.

At 12pm, no sign. I checked online, and the order had only been put on the van at 10am, when it was meant to be delivered between 7am-12pm. Angry

Phoned them, Very "made a note on the order" and said they'd take it up with Yodel.

Parcel appeared the next afternoon, thankfully DP was in otherwise I wouldn't have got it.

They always say you get next day delivery, but it NEVER happens, not even when you specify a fricking delivery window. Argh. Hate the buggers.

Swipe left for the next trending thread
