SORRY FOR SHOUTING BUT!!!!!

In April we ordered a corner sofa and chair from Littlewoods. Delivery was scheduled for 8 weeks.

THe call from Yodel came sooner than we expected, Wedensday 4th July, for delivery on Friday morning.

I swiftly put our old sofa on freecycle and it was picked up thursday afternoon.

thursday at 6 get a phone call from yodel that its not coming as they had recieved sofa (although tracking had said thay had actually had it 2 weeks by then)

I was not happy and told them that. They didnt know when i would reicve it.

we had no furniture.

Friday morning Dh was at home. The chair arrived. Lucky he was in.

Finally they arranged on the monday to deliver sofa on the wednesday.

Well it arrived, without the corner, and broken.

I phoned Littlewoods, where a operayor told me that maybe it didnt come with the corner, maybe you had to buy that bit seperatly!!!!!!

I asked to speak to a manager, who agreed it did come with the corner, but all she could do was re order the whole set and arrange collection of the faulty set.

New order would take another 8 weeks and I musnt use the faulty set as it had to come back in condition it arrived!

At which point I lost it and cancelled the order completly

it gets worse.

I wait for collection date. and monday was told it would be collected tuesday.

I had over the weekend sourced another sofa and chair who when i told the new company what had happened said would get it to me as in 48 hours of confirmatiom.

We had a nightmare with an electric guitar we ordered from argos.

Yodel said they'd left a card when they hadn't, I rearraged delivery and they didn't turn up.

I ordered another as I needed it for a birthday present which did turn up.

Yodel then contacted me to say they couldn't find the guitar and to contact argos.

Argos gave me a refund.

Guitar then turned up with a whopping great label saying return to argos Hmm which meant i had to stay in again to make sure they collected it from me and returned it.

Get onto Littlewoods, you're contract is with them, not yodel. And don't let them tell you otherwise

Deffo, Littlewoods should refund/repalce with minimum discomfort or stress to consumer. www.direct.gov.uk/en/Governmentcitizensandrights/Consumerrights/DG_182935. Used to link to an incredibly helpful consumer trading service. Now links to Citizens Advice Bureau, but they will advise. Littlewoods may be in breachof contract. They agreed to deliver to you on a certain day. Item was faulty, replacemetn should be instant, OR they should fund hire or temporary replacement or storage. I am fairly sure I am right, but you will have to fight them. It's easy though, they always back down if you dig your heels in.

Yes, I contacted argos and basically told them to deal with yodel as I was washing my hands of the whole thing

After ranting on Twitter last night and being enraged with Littlewoods, I got a Twitter message from Yodel at ten thirty asking me to Direct Message them.

I then gave them both barrels. Promises were made that it would be sorted this morning.(Not that I believed them)

At 8 this morning I sat on hold for twenty minutes until I spoke to someone who said it was being Excellerated whoppee do, had heard that three times yesterday.

Finally at 10.00 a girl phoned to say it would be going between 2-5 with a phone
call before hand as we live on Army base and they needed to be signed in.

In the meantime (I was not at home DH was sleeping as had been on nights) DH was trying to get through to me.

Took his call.

Yodel were at our house, no phone call and 4 hours early, so were not signed in so DH got a bollocking from the guard room.

Still bloody things are gone. BUT THIS IS NOT THE END OF THE MATTER.

Phone calls have cost me £30.00 plus all the stress and inconvenience.

They have not heard the last of this.
