I defy anyone not to say "Oh how awful" and then snigger anyway when being told that the road safety day at school has been cancelled because the woman that runs it was hit by a car.

She isnt seriously hurt but needs a couple of weeks off, and the teacher told the kids as a way of illustrating how even the safest people can have accidents.

I used to work with a guy who broke his ankle falling off of a banana truck.

I thought I had misheard DS when he told me and had to check with another mum, and she said that she had been told the same, and then laughed.

Its so wrong to laugh, but I did.
Our H&S guy at work is over the top. He wanted to do a session on using the hot water dispenser (not a tap, it is boiling water for tea and coffee)correctly. He burnt himself while preparing. I laughed so much.

Sniggers here too! My friend's husband broke his leg when he slipped on a Health & Safety leaflet he'd left on the stairs!
