Put it on for dd after being recommended it and IM just sat thinkng wtaf.

Even she doesnt seem fussed and whereas she seems to find Peppa Pig hilarious....this shes just not fussed.

Who ever it was that came up with that programme were obviously high on acid

CogitoErgoSometimes · 03/07/2012 18:48

It's 'The Prisoner' meets 'Award-winning Animation from Czechoslovakia'.

Sparklingbrook · 03/07/2012 18:54

I have only ever seen one. One of the characters was 'washing his stones'. Confused

Johnnydeppsnewmrs · 03/07/2012 18:56

DD was addicted to this as a toddler.
The way I see it is Iggle Iggle is a teddy and Upsy Daisy is a ragdoll. They live in the garden and Macca Packa is the grounds keeper of the garden. Iggle Piggle and Upsy daisy are having a turbulant love affair.
The rest are other toys living in the garden.

I think it is meant to show what they toys get up to when the child is asleep.
Bear in mind it is the same writters as Teletubbies.....

Nervousfirsttimer · 03/07/2012 19:01

What ever happened to danger mouse and button moon eh? When bump arrives I will be investing in some DVDs, no way I'm being subjected to in the night garden bollix!

Sparklingbrook · 03/07/2012 19:03

I also saw some red soldiery things.

Pastabee · 03/07/2012 19:03

YANBU but DD gets it and sits happily in front of it clapping the various characters while I collapse on the sofa for 25 minutes

Softlysoftly · 03/07/2012 19:04

Button moon? Also written while high surely? A soon man goes to space in a Heinz baked bean can and meets some army eggs and a moon Hoover Confused.

I don't get ITNG and dd1 has outgrown in but from 12-18 months it was like baby drugs

Pontipines! They are weird little things. I'm being subjected to it right now.

What are the little blue things? Do they live next door to the Pontipines (thanks Whos.)

GiserableMitt · 03/07/2012 19:07

What the fuck is wrong with parking your kids in front of Noddy?

is old

OhTinky · 03/07/2012 19:08

I read macca pacca as something else entirely Blush

I won't let my DD watch it because it is shite. We watch Octonauts, Ben and Holly and Peppa Pig. All quite sensible with good moral messages! Smug mummy Grin

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 03/07/2012 19:24

They are the wottingers, they are identical to the pontipines in everyway, but are blue.

Sometimes they all meet up for a picnic and it all goes horribly wrong.

I can't stand all the snorting in peppa pig. Most annoying.

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 03/07/2012 19:24

It's voiced by a thespian Shakespearean actor. Can't remember his name?

LookAtHerGo · 03/07/2012 19:27

Derek Jacobi Grin

Not that we're avid watchers of in the night garden.

My DP laughs his head off at the pontipines (or however they are spelt)

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 03/07/2012 19:28

That's it! I quite like them, I'd like some for pets (mini slaves)

ChocolateTeacup · 03/07/2012 19:29

the wottingers are next door to the pontipines but they are kept in isolation

NoComet · 03/07/2012 19:30

The tombliboos love their trousers, according to the bit I saw, wtf???

startwig1982 · 03/07/2012 19:31

Love itng but can only watch a couple of episodes at a time before my brain tries to escape through my ears... The music is particularly catchy and I now have in my head!

WhosPickleisThatOnion · 03/07/2012 19:33

Oh those tombliboos! Always forgetting to put their trews on. It's a right hoot!

SandyBottoms · 03/07/2012 19:36

I always thought it was very unreasonable to have a children's character with a penis shaped head. But nobody else thought so.

throwinshapes · 03/07/2012 19:39

Just soooo glad both nippers have outgrown it.

Ner Wink

ZebraLeg · 03/07/2012 19:40

Naah, Iggle Piggle looks like David Cameron.
